House-Boat B054 **

This houseboat is located opposite the Hermitage, in one of the canals in the center and is suitable for 2-3 persons. The owner works for the Red Cross in Africa and traces of her love for Africa can be found in the interior. Around the corner is the Waterlooplein flea market, cafes and many restaurants. The Opera House is located within walking distance and de Hermitage is located opposite the boat. It's a quiet and safe location, while nightlife is only two blocks away: the Rembrandtplein.

The living room has a glass door to the balcony. The dining table is situated near the open plan kitchen and offers a great view, overlooking the water and passing boats. From the balcony you can feed the ducs and swans... There is a bathroom with shower and toilet and a bedroom with a Queensized bed. The couch in the living room can be turned into a bed. Wasmachine combination, television and high-speed Internet are at your disposal. Reviews.

Didn't want to leave!
by Carys

Have stayed in Amsterdam lots of times, but this was our first stay on a houseboat. Needless to say we will be doing it again!! A lovely houseboat, just far away from the crowds but close enough to walk to any amenities! Enjoyed watching the odd boat pass, and feeding the ducks!! Home from home and didn't want to leave!
Thank you also to the lovely host Carolein for the flexibility of checking in and checking out, an added bonus! Will definitely visit again

Welcomed by the gracious hostess Carlien who helped with flamiliarising us with the area to booking us a taxi to the airport, marked a perfect start at the beautiful house boat.we have stayed multiple times at the dam square,we are so happy that we could experience this unique way of living in amsterdam in a beautifull, quiet and a historic neighbourhood.well equipped and stocked,we enjoyed feeding the ducks, relax on the deck and finally at our last night we were surprised by a beautiful swan!
The freezer was broken and our suggestion, the bathroom needs a makeover and finally a railing on the deck Is IMPERATIVE!

Perfect Place for Our Stay in Amsterdam!!!
by Cynthia Lee

My 13 and 10 yr. old children and I stayed for 1 week in Houseboat B054. We are so happy that we were able to find this unique and great place for our visit to Amsterdam and were very happy with the location- safe, easy access for walking, very close to trams...! The layout is very roomy- there is a separate bedroom with a nice sized comfortable bed, a lovely eating area with windows looking out to the canal, a spacious living area with a futon (which is where I slept), a really lovely outdoor deck where we often would sit and read or my daughter would relax and feed the ducks! The kitchen is well stocked with a mini-fridge, working stove and the basics that allowed us to eat in when possible.
The washer and dryer came in really handy and we appreciated all the fresh towels provided to us!
My only suggestion for anyone taking a cab from the airport... make sure that the cab driver knows exactly where to go. We had the address that the hostess gave us, but I think if the driver is not familiar with the city, he may drop you off at the wrong place (which is what happened to us). Next time, I will just take a metro from the airport and switch to the tram.
Thank you to everyone who provided us such a lovely place to stay and thank you house-boat hotel for connecting travelers to these great houseboats! We will definitely use it again and highly recommend it!
