amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

House-Boat B038 ***

In the heart of Amsterdam, this ship is for real lovers of historical cargo sailingships which were widely used in Holland for transport throughout the nineteenth century and well into the twentieth century. It's still in authentic condition, which means ceilings are not too high (1.90 mtr. or 6'2" ft). Built in 1888 as a "Haagsche Aak", she is in fact one of the oldest ships in Amsterdam. She is located right in the middle of the Jordaan area, close to the Anne Frank House and Central Station. There is a parking garage free of charge!

The entrance is by a solid bridge with handlebars leading you on deck and to a hatch-type entrance, but do mind the steep staircase! Inside you'll find a very traditional and cosy interior with the old Captains double bedded family room still fully intact! Next is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Then into the living-room with kitchenette. The portholes in the side and windows in the roof provide plenty of light. There is a double bed at the front of the ship and the couch in the living room can also be turned  into a double bed so that 3 persons can sleep separately. A fast wireless internet connection, cable televesion/video and radio/cd player are also at your disposal.

Sitting outside on deck you have an excellent view over the canal and its typical canal houses. In the area you will find lots of specialized shops and restaurants as well as the Saterdays farmers market. Your hosts serve breakfast on request. You'll find yourself at home in this beautiful part of Amsterdam and we hope to welcome you for a few days on board the Adriana. Reviews.

Old Adriana

130 years old but still in a very good shape - Respect! We had a very nice long weekend on the boat. It was very comfortable for 4 guys. It's a unique ship, so entrance is not so easy but for us no problem! It was very clean, comfort-bath, a small kitchen with everything you need. And the ship is located in the center of Jordaan-District, important for us. The owner was very kind, he even ordered sunshine for the whole time - perfect!
Thanks a lot!

Terrific time!

My wife and I had not been back to Amsterdam in three years. And this houseboat made our visit magical and wonderful. Jeroen made us feel right at home and that it was truly our ship for the week. The barge herself is beautiful inside and in the perfect location for sightseeing - 15 mins walk from everything we wanted to do.
And being there for New Years is something we'll never forget!

cozy & comfy
by Pia & Micha

We stayed 3 nights (January) and really enjoyed our stay.
The owner Jeroen is very friendly and speaks English and German. He explained everything to us and even gave recommendations for our visit in Amsterdam.
The boat is very central, yet in a calm area, but with several cafés next to it, where you can have breakfast.
We did not miss anything in our houseboat and it was very cozy and comforatable.
We would definitely stay there again.
