amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

House-Boat B033 ***

A perfect place to be for a super romantic break. This boat is unique because she offers you most spectacular views over the river Amstel and the famous 17th century wooden "Skinny Bridge". Located in the city centre, café's, restaurants
and shops are minutes away. The Waterlooplein (flea market), the Opera House and the Dam Square are also at walking distance. The boat was built around the 1920s. The hull dates back to 1853 which makes her the oldest of  Amsterdam.
It was completely renovated in 2001 to the highest standards but kept her historical features. Suitable for 2 to 4 persons. This video was taken on the boat.

The boat measures approximately 45m2 (400 sq.ft) and is cosy and functional. She offers modern comfort as well as old Dutch stained windows and an beamed ceiling. The boat consists of an entrance hall, a kitchen-dining room, a sitting and
sleeping area with a bay window and a nice bathroom. An extra bed is situated in a cosy cabin below deck which gives you the option to choose your preferred bed.

Nice and comfortable in a good location
by FEDERICO OBRUTSKY

A very beautiful way to visit Amsterdam; with a very good location (not in the small canals) so it has nice panoramic view of the old-fashioned bridge and the boats going around (but not to close to you); neither in the downtown (which would be with too many people around). We really enjoyed the experience. We'll recomend and hope to return someday.

Really enjoyable stay.
by Andrew MacRae

Had a great 4 nights stay at this boat. It is well located just outside the main tourist area. Close enough to all the sights, bars and restaurants but nice and quiet at night with amazing views across the Amstel.
The boat is very traditional but has all the facilities you could possibly want and there is a shop just round the corner for provisions.
The only negative, and it is a small one, would be the sleeping facilities. Whilst the main bedroom is superb with a very good quality bed, the second bed, down in the hull was a bit of an issue. It is not a bedroom just a triangular mattress on a platform and there is no actually standing space, you just go down the steps and crawl in. It is quite cramped and whilst our teenage kids put up with it, I doubt if you could consider it a bed for two adults.
All in all though, a really enjoyable option for a stay in Amsterdam.
