Brenda's B & B AS51 ***

Brenda’s Bed and Breakfast is especially for business people who sell their products and services during one of the many exhibitions and congresses which take place in the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre. And for their visitors who have to stay een few days in Amsterdam or for the business people who have to do their business in one of the many big offices alongside the “Zuidas”. In both cases it is a 5-10 minutes walk. The street is paid parking zone, but, if you come by car: there is always, day and night, parking space in front of the house, exceptional for Amsterdam.

Amsterdam people called the neighbourhood 'the Silver Coast', it is indeed the part of Amsterdam South where class, comfort, style and culture are the main characteristics. The houses were build in 1934 in a beautiful late Art Deco style.

The studio is on the second floor and exsist of two rooms. One bedroom has a queen sized bed, airco and a wonderful balcony facing South, the other has a single bed and there is a kitchenette. The private bathroom has a shower and a toilet. There is a fast internet connection, a television, radio and cd player. Breakfast is on demand and not incl. the rates, but we provide the fridge with some food and drinks for you upon arrival! Smoking is only allowed on the balcony. Reviews.

Cosy, quirky oasis in Amsterdam
by Jutta Brassil

Brenda and Stephan, the landlords, welcomed us nicely. The appartement is a cosy place with a sun-filled balkony overlooking beautiful gardens with parakeets in the trees. The appartement is quirky, comfortable, we liked it. If you would expect a modern appartement with light in kitchen and bathroom, you will be disappointed. The breakfast table is in a small room adjoining the kitchen, the room contains the single bed. The double bed room is big, cosy, has the balkony. Brenda has a flair for quirky beautiful colours. The bed was very comfortable, shower nice and hot, heating was on in the early cold autumn evenings, the kitchenette provides everything you need to make your own breakfast. Brenda provides breakfast shopping of your choice every second day. She makes a beautiful homemade juice, gorgeous. Brenda and Stephan live in the house as well, occupying ground and first floor, but you will have absolute privacy. They have two lovely dogs and a cat who visited occassionally, although they were not allowed to come up the stairs. From the B&B it's a ten minute walk to the tram which will bring you into the city centre, trams go every 6 to 8 minutes. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay in Amsterdam - Location and city is wonderful
by Signe & Brian

Stayed for 5 nights at Brandas.
2½ weeks travelling in Europe, and this was by far the most accomodating and special place to stay - Just perfect.
Upon arrival we got assisted by Brenda to get comfortable and understand the nearby town, as to where to shop, eat and take public transport - Great way to get started.
Every morning there was all we could wish for (literally, as Brenda adjusted according to our wishes) in terms of bread, coffee, cheese, ham etc.
The balcony is towards south, so in the summertime, it is a great way to start the day, by sipping the coffee in the morning sun overviewing beautiful city gardens in a calm atmosphere.
We travelled with our baby (8 months) and this was the perfect location for us: quiet, friendly, safe, easy transport to city center.
We recommend this by all means. We have not visited amsterdam for the last time...
Best B&S
