Perfect Location

This houseboat was ideally located for us. We wanted to be close the museums, far enough away from the party zones of Amsterdam, but yet close enough to walk there if we wanted. There is a grocery and liquor shop across the street and the huge Albert Cuyp market is just behind those shops. Very convenient. Many of the river boat cruises go right by the houseboat that wasn't an issue for noise as that activity seems to stop after 10pm or so.
It was quite hot when we stayed but the boat is well shaded and with the windows all open we had a cool evening breeze for sleeping.
The boat itself is well supplied and a nice layout. The smaller bedroom maybe a little too cozy for couples who are used to a large bed but it was ideal for a single. I felt the living room may be better option for a couple but never thought to check and see if the sofa was a pullout. The other bedroom I think was a queen size bed.
There is plenty of space on this boat to hang out but we spent most of it on the deck next to the water. It is small but good size for 4 people. The only issue we had with it was the trees and birds made quite a mess of it and it need a good cleaning before we used it. At first this was a challenge but then we discovered the broom and cleaning supplies in the small shed. After a good scrubbing it was much nicer to use and we really enjoyed it.
The owners were quick and easy to contact and accommodating to meet up with us when we arrived in town.
Note that while it is an easy 20-30 min walk from Central Station, with luggage I think it would be too much. We caught an Uber for around 8 Euro on arrival and departure.
Looking forward to staying at this boat again next year!
