Located at Amsterdam’s outer and former defense canal ring, this floating oasis is our latest addition as from October 2014. It flows calmly between the Dutch central bank complex and Heineken Experience, the former Heineken brewery which offering guided tours of its beer making history plus the taste of its famous beers. And at the crossing point of the trendy shopping street of Utrechtsestraat and de Pijp neighbourhood, famous for its colorful mix of multiculturalism, countless cafés and bars, dining options from around the world, and the most famous and busiest outdoor market in the Netherlands, the Albert Cuyp Market. And also the Rijksmuseum is on walking distance.
This gorgeous houseboat is decorated and furnished with a mix of modern and vintage furnishing which generates a sumptuous yet calm ambience. It is ideal for 2 persons, however it can highly be recommended for a couple with 2 children (2 folded beds for the children can be provided in the living room). Or you can come with 2 couples, because this boat is moored next to it! The enchanting front courtyard with a small romantic seating area on the right is nice and welcoming for guests arrival. Behind the storage room on the left, there is a garden with lusted bamboo and a comfortable couch with table for guests to chill out or have an outdoor lunch.
The boat’s interior is provided in two areas. On the left the open plan kitchen, dining area and living room. On the right is the bedroom and bathroom.
Although the open plan kitchen is small, it is fully equipped and modern for guests to enjoy making from a cappuccino to a warm meal. The dining spot consists of a vintage dinning table, chairs and open cabinet and occupies the doorstep that leads out to the canal’s restful view. The elevated living area offers snug and generous seating for guests to sprawl out relaxing in front of a warm fireplace while being entertained with multi TV programs or getting online with free Wi-Fi connection. Beside the entrance courtyard and the garden at the boat’s front, there is a balcony at the back for guests to marvel the canal’s scenery.
The bedroom provides a super deluxe king size bed adorning with crisp linen. The window above the bed’s headboard offers not only additional natural light but also canal view. Lining up against the bedroom’s end wall is the ample wardrobe for guests to store belongings. The tastefully appointed bathroom is also to be found in the bedroom. It features a glass shower unit with rain shower cap, a classic washbasin and a WC. Note: this bathroom is to be shared with accompanied family members who occupy the living room!
