Perfect stay in Amsterdam
by Hank Guichelaar

This houseboat's location is very good in two ways. It is well within walking distance of the Central Station (trains - about 10 minutes) and also near many shopping, dining and historical locations within Amsterdam's center. Right around the corner, the Haarlemmer Straat was voted 'best shopping street' a few years ago and offers a plethora of restaurants, grocery stores, deli's, breakfast places and a lot more. One of the city's best pancake houses and the Anne Frank museum are just a short walk away. The Jordaan area has an outdoor street market twice a week and is well worth a visit. The houseboat is roomy and comfortable. Unlike some others, this one is a real boat so do not expect a square floating apartment, get ready to stay on a converted cargo vessel instead. It is moored across from the famous Papen Eiland bar and the whole setting is beyond picturesque. Tourist boats and swans float by and like everything else in Amsterdam, it is magical.

Houseboat B096

We spent 4 lovely days on the houseboat, with its great location at Korte Prinsengracht. A lot of nice bars and restaurants can be reached within a few minutes walk. The houseboat is very nice, offering a lot of space, at night it is calm and quiet. We'd love to come back.

A houseboat, the perfect way to experience Amsterdam
by Mark Duthie

We stayed for 4 nights on the houseboat. It was perfect, situated in a quite area yet only 10 minute walk from Centraal station, the house boat was really quite warm, good sized bedrooms and beds which were comfortable. The bathroom was quite large with underfloor heating. There was plenty of space in dining area to cook and eat at the table with friends. Lounge was cosy with a nice soft sofa good for relaxing watching tv or surfing the internet using wifi. I would definately recommend staying here, much more comfortable than a hotel without all the noisy hotel guests, its a home away from home
