This is a very well located houseboat in a surprisingly quiet spot right in the center of the old town. The ship was totally stripped and rebuilt in 2020/21 . You feel the love of the owner for his ship, with an eye for details and colors. He built an B&B on board, suitable for 2-4 persons (self-catering) with a private bathroom. The boat offers a magnificent view over one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. She is called Hillegonda, after the last skipper's wife who actually worked on the boat and transported materials with the ship. The houseboat is moored in a 18th century neighbourhood nearby the Nieuwmarkt, the Scheepvaartmuseum, shops, cafe's and restaurants.
There is a sitting room, a small kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. You will find also a washing machine and dryer in the hallway. A staircase leads you from the street to the entrance of the boat. Guests who where already here enjoy the boat and felt very secure with plenty of privacy. The Central Station is about 5 minutes away. There is Wireless internet, free of charge.
