Amsterdam Houseboat House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

BOAT BK152, guestroom ****

Welcome at our houseboat Isabeau, a charming and delightful houseboat located centrally at the canals of Amsterdam. She is a spacious and houseboat with lots of natural light. The houseboat is brand new and was only placed in the canals in January 2017.

We offer 2 separate and nicely decorated studios; studio BK152 is called 'studio Mick', is 18m2. It has it’s own bathroom, little kitchenette and beautiful built-in box kingsize bed. The kitchenette offers a water boiler and espresso machine as well as a small microwave and fridge. Here you can store your breakfast items or serve up something delicious that you’ve brought home from one of the neighbourhood’s many outstanding eateries. If you like to book for 4 persons, you can also book studio Roos.

If you are in for a lazy morning open the shades and watch life on the water from your comfortable bed. The boat is located on the most beautiful canal of Amsterdam, the Prinsengracht. All the nice bars are within minutes walking distance. The boat is located very close to the Utrechtsestraat and Rembrandt square with nice local shops, wineries and design boutiques. It has huge sliding windows that can be opened fully on warm days and give you a wonderful view on the canals.

Houseboat Stay
by Stephen Cross

A great way to spend time in Amsterdam. Very relaxing watching the world go by at water level. Very quiet at night but within walking distance of the vibrant city centre. First time staying in a houseboat but would highly recommend

Hausboot 152

Great Location

The houseboat is in a great location just steps from a Tram stop; a much bigger advantage than we initially thought since the trams are the best way to get around the city. There are many restaurants, cafes, and shops in the area and a couple grocery stores within two blocks. It is also very quiet and we slept extremely well.
The apartment is fairly small since it is one of three on this boat; one other vacation rental and the host. We never really heard any noise from the neighbors though. The kitchenette is minimalistic but did what we needed it to do. The bed is very comfortable but somewhat tricky to get out of in the dark since it is on a four foot platform, but there are handy pull out steps.
The canal, the Prinsengracht, was very busy during the day with all manner of boats cruising by; mostly tour boats, but it was not noisy and we felt no motion at any time. My wife particularly enjoyed the daily visit from a pair of swans. There is one big window that opens on the canal for unobstructed views.
The host, Merel, was friendly and very accommodating of our needs. Since she lives right there on the boat she was very accessible.
All in all it was a wonderful week in a wonderful city full of very friendly people. We would happily return for another stay.
