Amsterdam Houseboat House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

BOAT BK150, guestroom ****

Welcome to this modern and newly built houseboat with 2 guest rooms, the BK150 and the BK151, situated at the hart of UNESCO World Heritage’s designated area - the famous grand canals (the Grachtengordel) of Amsterdam. The boat moors quaintly on the sunny side and at the foot of Brouwersgracht (Brewers’ canal) and Prinsengracht (Prince’s canal), and offering an undisputed view of the picturesque humpback bridge of the Papiermolensluis (paper mill lock).

The best benefit of staying at this houseboat is being close to everything you could possibly need within a very short walk either exploring Amsterdam’s longest and upbeat commercial streets of Haarlemmerstraat and Haarlemmerdijk packed with an array of trendy shops, bars, cafes, and international eateries or venturing to the nearby, though carefree feel yet hip Jordaan neighbourhood where you can elbow cozily each Saturday with the locals at outdoor markets of Lindenmarkt and organic famers’ Noordermarkt.

Feel at home to your hart’s content at the two lovely, bright and chic studios that the boat offers. Each separate and secured studio of 16m2 with its own lock housed identical features: the fixed and cozy double bunk bed including reading lamps and flat-screen TV are created as a high sleeping area so guests can have a comfortable rest while marvel the calmingly view over the water and easily accessible by pulling out the concealed staircase. There are also concealed drawers that roll out to provide guests ample storage space for your belongings. The kitchen is fully equipped to your convenience during your stay providing with all the commonplace items like fridge, microwave, pots,
pans, kettle, espresso machine and so on. The en-suite bathroom is sufficient in its size and stylishly fitted with a walk-in shower, washbasin and a WC. Fresh bed linens and clean towels are all provided upon guests’ arrival, plus the avail of free Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning system. No one could complain about the view from these two studios. When open the large windows while residing over small table and chairs, guests will be looking directly onto the serene livelihood of the canal let it be the ducks or the swans as the regular visitors or the lazily passing-by boats and canoes. Every time, you will find something new to wonder at each time you look out.

Lovely accommodations and great location. We were exited to see the market was just steps away on saturday morning. The host was most gracious and offered recommendations on day 1. We wish we had more time and will certainly return in the future.
