Amsterdam Houseboat House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

BOAT BS158, studio

A romantic experience in the centre of Amsterdam! This Houseboat is moored on a quite and beautiful part of the city, nearby Rijksmuseum, Heineken Brewery and famous squares. On one of the last pictures you see the towers of the Rijksmuseum on the end of the canal.

Your studio/apartment exists of a living room, with a couch which can be turned into a bed, a bathroom with shower, a small kitchen and a bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen has an oven and microwave ready to use. Outside is a small deck to sit on. TV and internet are available. The owner lives in a separate part of the boat and has his own entrance. Your privacy is guaranteed.

In the neighbourhood you find nice restaurants, bars, shops and around the corner along the beautiful Reguliersgracht with the Rembrandtplein at the end. This is a remodelled houseboat that still has its historic character. Built in 1920, it was used to transport potatoes, sand, and all manner of food and industrial goods. The pictures show one of the original families that lived and worked on the boat in all of Holland. It is one of the best preserved houseboats of its age in Amsterdam.

Our first trip to Amsterdam and stay on House-Boat BS158
by Martin Hill

Had a great time in Amsterdam. Beautiful city and fabulous, friendly people. The boat was perfectly situated to see all the main attractions. With a fabulous up the canal to the Rijksmuseum to wake up to over your coffee on the deck in the morning. Boat was what it said on the tin, typically traditional and comfy. Owner also recommended a great cafe around the corner for breakfast.

A Stay on a Lovely Old Barge
by Suzanne Johnson

My husband Carl and I had a wonderful time staying on this boat the first week of July. There was plenty of room and everything that we needed was provided on this clean boat. What a delight it was to stay on an honest to goodness barge that was built so long ago and actually used to transport goods all over Holland! Derk was right there when we arrived and was very helpful in advising us about the boat and with other things. The location was perfect for us with proximity t the museums but also in a quiet neighborhood. It was a pleasure to also meet Derk’s wife Hannah who stopped by to water the plants by the boat. We did not have a local phone number but Derk quickly answered my emails. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone who wanted to experience what it is like to stay on a barge in Amsterdam.

Hausboot Mai 2018

Wir hatten eine gute Zeit, die Lage des Bootes war ruhig und alles zu Fuß erreichbar.
Die Ausstattung war in Ordnung und sauber, nur die
Sitzmöglichkeit außen sollte gerichtet werden.
