amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

House-Boat B122 *****

Meet the Prince Royal! Location and luxury  are what we think of when we see this gorgeous houseboat, located on the famous Prinsengracht, across from the Anne Frank house. Video. And a second video from guests with a passion!

It's a stylish and comfortable floating residence in the center of the Jordaan area. Decorated with taste and attention by a professional  interior designer. The Prince Royal is the place to be for an unique nautical experience in downtown Amsterdam. You have a direct view on the Prinsengracht and the landmark Westerchurch.

The living area is bright and shining, spacious, comfortable and light. The characteristic wooden floor in combination with design furniture gives this area a luxury own identity. There are 2 characteristic bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms in the back and front of the ship. The bedrooms are a little lower but that is part of the history and charm of this houseboat. Both the bedrooms have two big double beds with two separate mattresses next to each other (160cm and 180 cm X 200cm), both with a flat screen TV. Romantic and comfortable!

Both bathrooms have a towel radiator and under the floor heating. The bright and shining bathrooms offers both a modern sink and  shower. Bedlinen and towels are provided.

The outside deck

At the outside point of this former freight ship is a nice terrace with a unique view along the canal. You will find a lovely large terrace, with chairs and plants. White swans will pass by together with the canal boats. At the other side of the canal you see the Anne Frank house and the famous Westerchurch. A video has been made from the surroundings last year:  You are in the middle of historic Amsterdam but because of the water and the impressive historic canal houses around you the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful.

The wheelhouse however offers you the best and most exclusive possibility to enjoy the spectacular surrounding of this houseboat. The wheelhouse is reachable from the inside and is higher than the rest of the boat. In this former Captain’s area is a luxury place to sit and enjoy for instance a glass of the free wine from the bar with wine fridge!

Our stay on the Prince Royal
by Ingebrigt Olav Moum

A bit earlier in December we booked the Prince Royal for a five day stay together with friends.
All four of us are agreed that this was the perfect place to be! We found the boat to be all and even more than we expected from the information received. On arrival Rachel showed us and her written tips about nearby restaurants etc. were much appreciated.
We enjoyed the very bright living room where the kitchen part had absolutely all we could need. The bathrooms were well appointed. The bedrooms were fine and the beds very good.
We learned to keep our heads in a humble position as the ceilings there are quite low. We learned by error and it was not a problem at all for us.
This being december - we really appreciated the wonderful heating system! We also loved the wheelhouse where we could follow the traffic on the canal and always retreated there when coming home from long walks and sightseeing. The position of the boat is very central but surprisingly quiet at night.
For these days the boat really became a home to us and we do plan on coming back!

sejour de rêve

tout a été parfait: la décoration de la péniche et les équipements au top.
La situation juste en face la maison d'Anne franck et surtout la situation sur un canal très animé le jour rendent le séjour très agréable.

Excellent place to stay
by Erik Alvin

Three of us stayed on this boat for a week in July 2016 and we had a really wonderful time. We have stayed in about a dozen other places in Amsterdam over the years and this was one of our favorites. It's well located, clean, accommodating, and the rental process was done professionally and with no problems. The wheel house and deck on the boat offer some really unique opportunities to other rentals in Amsterdam - you get an intimidate perspective when you watch the boats on the canals pass by. It was a great way to end our days, sitting in the wheelhouse having wine and enjoying some food. With regards to the rest of the house, the bedrooms were pretty comfortable - the ceilings are low, but the beds were really comfy. It was hot during our stay in July but it was still actually pretty cool in the boat with the fans running. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The main sitting area and kitchen was comfortable and had pretty much all you needed to make a meal. The grocery store in a 5 minute walk away too as well as the tram. - Erik
