Houseboat 'Sunshine City' is also suitable for young children, the terrace is surrounded by safety slass! This luxurious houseboat is located at one of the most exclusive streets of Amsterdam near the city centre, but feels like a summerhouse at the lake. The huge terrace offers sunbathing from the morning till late in the afternoon, and besides swans and ducks, even the neighbourman can swim by, since at this part of the river people often enjoy a swim. At the terrace a hot shower is available, just as a surfboard/small boat etc. Please inform your hosts if you would like to use the boat (for a surcharge) out on a trip on the canals of Amsterdam, they will be happy to explain the use of the boat and the nice places to go.
The house itself is designed and decorated for luxurious living. The living room is spacious with a great river view. It offers a Spartherm fireplace and tv/video is offered to you on a large fully automized cinema sized screen via a beamer. The kitchen is fully equipped and also offers a great view over the river. Next to the living room is a large bedroom with a queen sized bed. In front of the round window there is a mango wood office table to plan your excursions into town. Downstairs you will find the bathroom with a double shower and a large jacuzzi with stereo and underwater color lightsand a bedroom. Also there is a simple extra bedroom, offering two single beds.
The boat is located at a 15 minute walk to the city centre. The metro is at a 3 minute walk and will bring you to the central station in 6 minutes. This fine neighborhood hosts many of Amsterdam's finest restaurants (Italian, Portugese, French, Greek and even Ethiopian). Further there are several terraces nearby that serve the finest breakfasts and coffee, and the supermarket is around the corner.
Strolling alongside the Amstel River into the city center you will be able to enjoy Amsterdam's finest architectural houses, the Royal Theatre, the Skinny Bridge and so on. The boat is the perfect base for your excursions into Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands. Review!
