House-Boat B027 ****

A beautiful authentic coaster, totally restored and redecorated. The apartment built in the boat (130 m2 or 1400 ft2), offers an entrance, a huge living-room, two bedrooms with double beds,  two extra roll-away beds, a separated toilet, a design bathroom with a bathtub for two and a large deck with garden furniture. The landlords live in an other part of the boat, totally seperated, your privacy is guaranteed.

In the living room is a comfortable couch and an open plan kitchen with dish-
washer. There is an easy way in by a gangway, inside is a small staircase. Dvd,
two televisions, radio and cdplayer are at your disposal.

The boat is moored at the KNSM island, nearly next to Houseboat B020 and has a spectacular view over the water. The island behind Central Station, is small, quiet and safe.  During the day there are a lot of visitors, interested in the exceptional houses and (expensive) apartments. Some of them were built by famous architects. There are a supermarket, restaurants and café's. The distance to the city centre is around 10 minutes by bus or 15 minutes by bike. Click her for reviews. Smoking is possible on the deck.

A very comfortable stay
by Elizabeth A

We had a very good week in Amsterdam staying on Houseboat BO27. It looks a bit stern on the outside but is very comfortable inside, warm, with plenty of space, and well equipped.
The redeveloped dockland area is pleasant and interesting, especially once you've had a look at the book on the subject on the boat, and its reasonably quick to get to the centre of town. We made the mistake of not buying a travel pass, so things got a little more expensive on the bus and tram front than they should have...
If you fancy a pizza we do recommend the little pizza place behind the boat. The very friendly owner/chef also let the boys make their own pizzas!
We also recommend Mike's Bikes city tour, and the Rembrandt House which has informal tutorial sessions that you can just turn up to. The queue for the Anne Frank House was ridiculous but we discovered that at 10am they release some online tickets for the same day, so that saved a few hours.
The local supermarket doesn't take VISA, so we ended up having to pay cash there.

Ostern in Amsterdam
by Joerg Seebach

Lovely accomodation
by Yannick Morand

We loved that boat/appartement. We felt like home, fully equiped and very nice arrangement. Bus and tram stop 2 minutes walking distance and not far from Centraal station (10 minutes max).
Will definetely recommend.
