amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

House-Boat B038 ***

In the heart of Amsterdam, this ship is for real lovers of historical cargo sailingships which were widely used in Holland for transport throughout the nineteenth century and well into the twentieth century. It's still in authentic condition, which means ceilings are not too high (1.90 mtr. or 6'2" ft). Built in 1888 as a "Haagsche Aak", she is in fact one of the oldest ships in Amsterdam. She is located right in the middle of the Jordaan area, close to the Anne Frank House and Central Station. There is a parking garage free of charge!

The entrance is by a solid bridge with handlebars leading you on deck and to a hatch-type entrance, but do mind the steep staircase! Inside you'll find a very traditional and cosy interior with the old Captains double bedded family room still fully intact! Next is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Then into the living-room with kitchenette. The portholes in the side and windows in the roof provide plenty of light. There is a double bed at the front of the ship and the couch in the living room can also be turned  into a double bed so that 3 persons can sleep separately. A fast wireless internet connection, cable televesion/video and radio/cd player are also at your disposal.

Sitting outside on deck you have an excellent view over the canal and its typical canal houses. In the area you will find lots of specialized shops and restaurants as well as the Saterdays farmers market. Your hosts serve breakfast on request. You'll find yourself at home in this beautiful part of Amsterdam and we hope to welcome you for a few days on board the Adriana. Reviews.

Great accommodation and location!
by Gerard Stewart

This is perfect accommodation for a small group stay (either couples, a small family or a group of friends) and closely located to Central Station, cafés, corner bars and 10 minutes walking distance to the Red Light District.
The accommodation itself is sizeable for relaxing inside and out on the deck for able-bodied persons, and provides lovely canal scenery but also a sense of seclusion from the street.
Our host Jereon also provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine upon our arrival and a quick guide to Amsterdam.
I would definitely recommend this houseboat for a unique, accessible stay in Amsterdam.

einfach toll!
by Frank Bungartz

A very special holiday
by Bryna Hellmann

Of my nine guests from the USA for our family reunion, my four teenaged grandchildren insist they had the best holiday: ten days on a Dutch houseboat on an Amsterdam canal! The owner is even more generous than we expected, a complete kitchen with basic supplies to start them off, a modern bathroom, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, they'd have stayed forever if college wasn't starting next week. And all this within walking distance of everything a tourist would want to see, buy or eat. I can't praise this boat and its owner enough.
