amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

Boat BK87, guestroom ***

We can highly recommand this 98 year's old houseboat, she is simply gorgious! She is permently moored in the Prinsengracht on one of the most attractive area's in the centre, the Jordaan. The location is in between the Anna Frank House and the nine little streets.

Your hostess (who lives in the middle part of the boat) offers a bedroom, a wheelhouse with kitchenette and a balcony. There is also a beautiful designed bathroom. The bedroom is cosy, and you will feel safe and comfortable while you are surrounded by beautiful colours, cushions and the sound of gently flowing water. There is a new modern designed bathroom with two shower heads, toilet and sink and there is a second toilet in the bedroom self.

The entrance of the boat is in the cabin  (wheelhouse) and is also used by your hostess. On the opposite of the boat is a restaurant, where you can order a meal for a romatic dinner for two. They will serve you on the boat! After dinner you can take place on the balcony to enjoy the nightlife on the water and bridge. In the wheelhouse is a kitchenette with oven, fridge and microwave, you can also prepare meals for yourself if you wish. The supermarket is around the corner.

The houseboat is moored in the "Jordaan", the most pitoresque neighbour-
hood in our city. She lies in the middle of the famous 'nine little streets'. In the surroundings of the boat are numerous little shops, luxury clothing and shoe stores, café's, galleries, restaurants and markets. From here it's less then a 10 minute walk to the Damsquare, Madame Tussaud or the Anna Frank House.
On monday morning it's worth it to visit the Noordermarket with local biological food and in a part of the market you find secondhand vintage stuff.

Our Stay an houseboat BK87
by Katharina

We stayed at Ilonks Houseboat from april 19 till april 23 in 2017.
It was fantastic! The boat was so lovely. It was just renovated und affectionately equiped. The sleeping room and the bathroom under the deck are beautiful designed. In the kitchen you can find surprisingly everything you need for cooking oder making a coffee, a bottle of red wine or coffee pads (there is a Nescafé Senseo coffee machine). A supermarket is just 200 metres away in the Elandsgracht.
The best was the balcony which seems to bee a unique feature at Amsterdam´s houseboats. We liked it to sit there although a lot of round trip boats passed by.
We can absolutely recommend to stay at BK87!!!
