amsterdam houseboats rentals House-Boat Hotel Amsterdam

House-Boat B138 ***

This boat contributes to an amazing and unforgettable stay in Amsterdam. It has
a very modern design and is comfortable and spacious with high ceilings and large windows. The large windows give a great view over the canal and there is also a small patio in the middle of the boat. On both ends of the boat are the bedrooms, small, but with large closets and with the living room and kitchen in between, it guarantee privacy for two couples, but is also ideal for a family with 2 children. In the living room you find a huge flatscreen television.

The boat is moored on a top location on the Prinsengracht, nearby the 'Negen Straatjes' and the Jordaan, a very attractive and romantic area in the centre of Amsterdam. It's in the Jordaan are, one of the most popular neighbourhoods in the centre. Here you also find the Anna Frank House, the Noordermarkt and the  'negen straatjes'. There are plenty small shops, restaurants and galleries in the neighbourhood and the Dam Square is on walking distance.

Best seats in town for Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade
by Stuart CAMERON

The location of this houseboat couldn't be better. Easily accessible from Centraal Station with many bars, restaurants and supermarkets within 5 minutes walk and the most beautiful of Amsterdam's 17th Century architecture all around.
The boat is modern and spacious enough for 2 couples but it is worth knowing that the bathroom has a high window into one bedroom so could limit its use when someone is sleeping.
The kitchen is well equipped including a Senseo machine which was very welcome to take your morning coffee on the small open terrace. You do need to take extra care out there as there is no handrail.
The living room has a huge screen HD TV and lots of art and books to keep you entertained if you have done enough walking for a while.
Highly recommended!

Wonderful time
by Clint Ward

We just returned from our week in Amsterdam at the beautiful House-Boat B138. The view from the deck will be will be one of the lasting memories from the trip, and waving to the many canal boats through the windows tons of fun.
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals...although we usually only managed breakfast at home. The beds are comfortable and the shower works well (plenty of hot water). The couch is big, but is in need of an update as are the curtains. However, the windows are every bit as amazing as the seem in the pictures.
For most of the week the neighborhood is quiet and residential. However, as others have mentioned, things can get a bit loud on Friday and Saturday nights with the corner cafes nearby. I don't think this is different than any other big city.
There are tons of restaurants in the Jordaan. Winkel, next to the Westerkerk has the best appletart, and they open early for breakfast. It is mostly locals, but everyone was always friendly. There are also two grocery stores on the Westerstraat.
Overall, the house-boat and location are highly recommended. We will definitely be back!
