Boat B021, Guestroom ***

 Deze spectaculaire boot op de Schinkel en heeft een uitzicht over het oude Olympisch Stadion. Deze boot is echt spectaculair aangezien het een nieuw model is: 3 verdiepingen en er is een lift aanwezig! De woonboot ligt in een beschermd natuurgebied. Hierdoor zijn er vele vogels en eenden die door de buurtbewoners gekoesterd worden. Toch bent u binnen 15 minuten fietsen (of 10 minuten met de tram) in het centrum van Amsterdam en een supermarkt en andere winkels liggen op 5 minuten loopafstand

De eigenaren bieden hun gasten een woonkamer, een slaapkamer, een privé badkamer en een terras in de tuin aan. Als u wilt kunnen zij u een ontbijt serveren, maar er zijn faciliteiten aanwezig als u liever zelf uw ontbijtje maakt. Zo is er een koelkast, een magnetron, een toaster en een koffiezetapparaat. Ook kunt u gratis gebruik maken van de computer met een snelle internet verbinding en er is een televisie, een radio en een cd-speler. In de buurt zijn er voor 6 euro per dag parkeermogelijkheden en u krijgt er dan ook gratis kaartjes voor het openbaarvervoer bij!

WILLEM, DAS Hausboot

WILLEM ist nicht irgendein Hausboot, es ist DAS Hausboot. Supertolle Lage, ruhig und doch zentral, 4 Minuten zur Straßenban Nr.2, die direkt in die Stadtmitte fährt. Die Vermieter wohnen ebenfalls im Hausboot und das ist auch super so. Viele kleine Aufmerksamkeiten haben uns den Urlaub versüsst. Vom Frühstück mit Kaffee, Tee, Brot, Käse, Schinken, Marmelade, etc. etc. alles da. Nachmittags als Überraschung selbstgemachter Kuchen und und und....Man hat ein eigenes Wohnzimmer mit riesiger Fensterfront, ein eigenes Bad und ein Schlafzimmer, das unter Wasser ist. Schlafvergnügen der besonderen Art. Man wird zum Tiefschläfer!!! Hier passt einfach alles. Absolut empfehlenswert....wir würden sofort wieder hin fahren.

We had a great time in Amsterdam and loved staying at this houseboat. However, we wished that there would have been more privacy. There weren't locks on our doors and we often walked out of the bathroom or shower and found that the owners were in their office on our floor. Everything was clean and nice though, we just weren't expecting that the owners would be living in the houseboat at well. They were very nice people and often left us treats in our dining area!

Lovely quiet retreat

My husband and I deliberately chose to stay on this houseboat to have a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the town and we couldn't have made a better choice. It has a relaxing atmosphere with lovely hosts who even left us yummy cakes and cookies to come home to. The public transport in Amsterdam is fantastic and the Number 2 tram stops very close by and takes you to town and Central Station via the Museum area. The houseboat is also very easy to get to from Schipol airport via the South Station.
The accommodation has everything you need including great views across the water, comfy bed, lots of hot water, fridge and kettle with microwave and toaster so you can make easy snacks. Hans and Ben had bought in some milk, bread, juice and other bits for us which was a nice surprise.
It is in a suburban area with a supermarket, cafes with wifi, bakeries, cheese shop and wine shop with a great selection. It is very reasonably priced too!
We loved our time there watching the wildlife and would definitely recommend it to other people. Hope to visit again sometime. Thanks for a great stay!
