Un très bon accueil et un logement de très bonne qualité.
Très bien situé dans le quartier de Jordan, proche du tram et des musées.
Rue calme au bord du canal, agréable pour boire son café et regarder les bateaux.
La terrasse est également un plus pour dîner dehors.
Le propriétaire communique en anglais mais également en français.
Séjour très positif sur tous les points. Amsterdam reste une de nos destinations préférées. Les gens sont très sympathiques et très serviables.

We are most satisfied with this clean, cosy, quiet and beautifully situated studio apartment in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Amsterdam - Very central to the heart of the city, and also with a local variety of restaurants, cafés, shops etc - Highly recommendable

We staid at the appartement with our two kids (aged 10 and 8) for four nights and loved the place. The appartment is really cosy and very clean. But what suprised us most was that although being in the centre of Amsterdam, the place is really quiet.
We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine and some Dutch cheese which was given to us by courtesy of the ownwer who was really friendly and helpful.
This was definetely not the last time we came to Amsterdam and we would always try and rent this appartment again!!

Our host was gracious, friendly and met us promptly upon our arrival.
The apartment was well-furnished, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Our host provided an apartment manual to assist us w/ using the apartment and its features and appliances. The manual also contained helpful information about:
1) the neighborhood: restaurants, grocery stores, sights/attractions, etc;
2) Amsterdam in general: sights/attractions, museums, public transportation, etc.
We loved the location, on a quiet canal, in a beautiful neighborhood that is relatively cetrally located (close to Anne Frank House - 10 minute walk; relatively close to Museumplein - 25-30 minute walk; and the Old Centre - 20-25 minute walk). If an opportunity presents itself, we would stay here again without hesitation!

myself and two friends stayed here for 6 nights in may2012. Hans, the owner, was very accommodating and friendly. the apt was clean, bright and quiet. great backyard, great shower, great location made the trip very enjoyable. laundry machine was a plus.
we arrived very early in the morn and Hans let us put our luggage in his apt until his prior guest left. he also had a cleaning crew come during our stay and kept the place clean.
i would recommend this apt to friends and family. probably best for just two or three people.

Appartement spacieux, confortable, original donnant sur un canal calme.
Bien situé :quartiers les plus typiques et agréables d'Amsterdam (" les 9 rues", les canaux les plus sympas pour les ballades à pied), une rue avec des commerces à proximité.
Nous le recommandons; par ailleurs il peut accueillir 4 personnes dans de bonnes conditions.
Le plus : une charmante cour avec table et chaises, bien sur quand il y a du soleil!!!!

This is a wonderful little apartment in a residential neighbourhood, overlooking the Lauriergracht canal. It is easy to get to anywhere in the city via walking or biking, and there is a tram stop just 5 minutes walk away. Within easy walking distance of the apartment, many little shops, restaurants and bars, and a supermarket just 5-10 minutes walk. It's close to the nine street shops, Anne Frank house, and all the amenities. A great location!
This one-bed roomed apartment is tastefully decorated, well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and comes with a comprehensive manual that explains how everything works. The owner is exceptionally helpful, provided a wonderful cheese spread and organic wine, and lives in the rooms above so is close by if you need anything (but was not intrusive).
We liked the layout and facilities, and enjoyed all the many lighting combinations available from a selection of lamps! There was a nice coffee maker which made morning's easier! It's not a huge apartment, but well laid out so you have a feeling of spaciousness. The little patio out back is very private and enclosed but not as well appointed as the inside. The bathroom facilities were perfectly adequate, including a walk-in shower (no bathtub), a separate door for the toilet, and full laundry equipment.
The bed is a little unusual in that it is a frame with two mattresses side by side. This is not so bad, apart from it creates something of a crevasse in the middle! The sofa-bed was unexplored, but seemed fairly comfortable and spacious enough as a further bed.
The area is all on one level (great if you have any mobility issues) and easy to get about. Very nice to sit around the big kitchen table and relax. There are plenty of books/guidebooks and the free wifi is a great asset.
Overall, we found it very delightful and relaxing and really well positioned to explore Amsterdam while affording a quiet and pretty spot away from the bustle at night.

The owner of this studio is very helpful and hospitable; he even left out bread, cheese, wine and other snacks which were very welcome when we landed late. The kitchen is quite good - and you could cook a meal there (plenty of pans, utensils, etc).
There is a washing machine & a dryer.
The flat is one very large and long room. You enter into a sitting area/dining table/kitchen. At the back is a bedroom separated by curtains. There is also a patio at the back with tables + chairs. Plenty of room for a couple, but the lack of doors separating the bedroom from the sofa bed may not be great for 2 couples.
One drawback is that it's on the canal level which means you can hear everything happening upstairs - footsteps, etc. Nothing too loud too late, but worth noting.
The location in the Jordaan is top notch, around the corner from great shops, restaurants, etc.
