Highly recommended! | 28 July 2011 Jakub
This is a great place to stay when in Amsterdam. Not far away from the centre at all and within easy reach to the bus station, a large supermarket and also the tram, it offers a great location however also a good getaway from the centre of the city. The pictures do not lie, it was 6 of us but it felt like it was less. The living room/kitchen area is amazing and a really good place to chill out. The houseboat is kept in an excellent condition with all its equipment. The price is well worth to pay compared to some sneezy hotels/hostels and offers a great atmosphere to underline your stay in Amsterdam.
Thanks Don!

Pretty cool... | 19 July 2011 Adeline
We spent a long week-end in Amsterdam at the beginning of June and had a great time at the Houseboat. It is a very nice place, with all the convenience you can wish for. It is very close to the city center by bus or tram, but it is also very quiet and nice.
We really appreciated the place and would highly recommend it to anyone from a small group of friends to a familly with children...
Enjoy your stay and enjoy Amsterdam...

Don's boat | 11 July 2011 Paula DeCosse
Our week-long stay on Don's houseboat exceeded our expectations! The boat was bigger than we expected -- more than adequate for 4 adults (in the two bedrooms) and 2 children (on the rollaway beds in the huge main room). There were plenty of dishes, comfortable seats for everyone at the table -- and we could get anything we wanted (including tasty main dish salads and chocolate vla) at the grocery store, just a 10 min. walk from the boat. We also got great food at the restaurant across from the tram stop -- and fresh croissants every morning from the bakery there. The boat was extremely quiet and it was lovely to be in a real neighborhood, not a tourist area. Our grandchildren enjoyed the children's playground just across the soccer field next to the boat. Getting to Central Station and anywhere else in Amsterdam was easy -- the bus stop was just across the street from the boat and the tram stop a couple of blocks away. We got week-long chip cards from the VVV tourist info. bureau, which gave us access to any bus or tram at any time. We had just one problem with the boat -- a plumbing glitch, but Don came and fixed it right away. I would highly recommend this experience -- one which we will always remember!

lovely relaxing week | 24 April 2011 Caroline
We stayed at the houseboat for a week in April. It's really big, with a huge living room/dining room/ kitchen with lots of portholes and skylights, so it felt really airy. It only moves very slightly as it is such a big boat, but it is a bit wierd going perceptibly up hill to breakfast. Next to the boat is a big playground/football pitch, where local children play and try not to get their footballs in the water; other than that (which we liked) it is really lovely and quiet, a nice change from the bustle of the city centre. It wsa very easy to get to the centre on either the bus or the tram. And the KSNM island is a great place with a few cool shops, lots of space and a couple of cafes where you can eat outside. Its about 10 minutes from a good supermarket, so we ended up cooking for ourselves. Highly recommended all round.

Highly recommended | 22 April 2011 Julia Power
What a wonderful place to stay!!! The house boat was exactly as the pictures show on the website! It was lovely and very well decorated. Everything you could possibly want was included and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The bus stop to catch the bus into the city centre is a 2 minute walk from the boat and a 10 minute ride, so the boat is close enough to the action, but far enough away if you want to escape. I cant say enough good things about our accomodation and would thoroughly recommend it!

Definitive Directions to Houseboat B027 | 7 April 2011 Ron Culley
The Houseboat is absolutely fabulous and became an important part of our relaxing stay in Amsterdam....but we had difficulty finding it - so here goes.
Take a number 26 tram from out in fromt of Centraal Station. Three stops later, at Reitlandpark, get off and go up an escalator where you take a number 10 tram two stops.
Cross the road and walk along the dock a couple of hundred yards until you come to an open play area for kids. At the far end is a bar at the street corner of Levantkade. Immediately opposite floats Houseboat B027. The Houseboat is colored grey with red trimmings. The definitive sign that you've come to the right place is a Dutch Post Box colored white which is situated right at Don's houseboat. On the pillar beneath it is the number 168.
There is no other way of identifying the craft.
These directions will get you there without any difficulty. Enjoy the facility....it was great and Don was very obliging.

Fantastic!! | 4 March 2011 Martina
Myself and 3 friends stayed on this boat last week for 3 nights and we all loved it.
On arrival we met Don who is very nice and helpful. He gave us a quick tour of the boat and that was the last we seen him. When checking out we gave the key to his wife. Your privacy is granted however Don and Edmee are very willing to help as much as possible.
The boat is spotless and fully furnished/equipped which is great for people wanting to travel light. There would be plenty of room for 6 people, however 2 would have to sleep on a pullout bed. The bedrooms are great sizes and the beds are very comfy!! The bathroom and showering facilities are also great.
As for the living and dining area, they are excellent. Very spacious. Cable TV and DVD player available. What you see in the pictures is 100% what you get.
The boats location didn't bother us at all. Its 10 mins outside the city centre and once found you cant go wrong. Train to central and get bus 42 to the boat. If you get off at the second last stop you are closer to the boat however even going to the last stop is only a 2 minute walk to the boat. Transport is very reliable.
I cannot recommend this accomodation enough. Much better than staying in a hotel and having to split up from your freinds at the end of the night. We all enjoyed going back to the boat at night, having a few drinks together and listening to music. Smoking is allowed in the living room only.
We will definitely be back here. Most likely in the summer time as this would just make it perfect!!!!
Thanks Don and Edmee. Hope to see you soon :)

Houseboat B027 Review | 9 November 2010 Bronwyn
My husband and I, plus 2 friends, recently stayed in Houseboat B027 for 7 days. The houseboat is amazing, it has everything that you need, and so much space, you could have a party in there and easily fit 40 people! It was extremely cozy, with 2 large couches, a large 6 seater dinning table, and all kitchen amenities. There is PLENTY of lights!! Our last count was 26 in the lounge/kitchen! You are allowed to smoke in the lounge.
The bathroom is very large, with a large spa like bath, although it is not a spa, and we were told you are not allowed to use it as a bath - a reason was given but I missed it!
It is supposed to have an internet connection but this was not working.
The spiral entrance stairs are quite steep (like all stairs in Amsterdam!) and can be a bit tricky to get your heavy suitcase down.
Plenty of extra bedding/pillows are supplied so it's easy to rug up. 2. Is the skylights. There are no covers or shades on the skylights, and so if you have trouble sleeping with any light in the room, there is nothing you can do about it. It would have been nice to able to cover these, especially after a late night!!
Overall we had a fantastic time on the Houseboat, I will never stay in a hotel in Amsterdam again! In fact we are returning this weekend and trying a different houseboat! I would recommend this houseboat to anyone, it exceeded all expectations.
Thank you very much to Don!

Nice weekend in Amsterdam | 1 November 2010 Irina P.
Thank you very much for a such nice weekend in Amsterdam. The Houseboat was very special. Good location to the center station just a few stops by bus makes this place very attractive for the persons who likes to stay in a quite area but still to be close to the center. We have wonderful time and of course we will be very happy to repeat again after a while

City Break - Amsterdam | 30 October 2010 Paul Martin
We flew to Schipol and caught the train to Centraal Station then caught the no. 26 tram for a couple of stops then caught the no 10 tram to the Levantkajde. There are many boats along the water and there is no sign to tell you which is BO27 - they are located using the address of the building nearest to them - in our case 168 Levantkajde. Luckily a guy in a pub was able to use his GPS to help us find it. No fun in the dark. I tell you this as we spent some time working out which trams to catch and went the wrong way for a couple of stops and needed the guy in the bar other wise we wouldn't have found it.
The accommodation is large, roomy, well equipped and has a super heating system. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom has a large bath and shower with plenty of hot water and loads of towels. Everything is clean but well used.
The spiral stairs to the front door are narrow and slippery in the wet so be careful if you have a large case. Being located out of the city means that it is quiet but not too far from anywhere by tram. There are a couple of local restaurants and bars and it is only a two minute walk to the tram stop. Five minutes walking gets you to a small supermarket and baker/cafe.
We enjoyed staying on the boat it gave us flexibility to style our stay as we wanted to without the formality of a hotel.
We did not see Don and Esmee after the first meeting - they give you total privacy.
I recommend it.

Ecxellent Houseboat! | 7 October 2010 Carlos Frías
I went there with four friends and we have a great time. The houseboat is excellent. The area is very beautiful and quiet. The best part is that is very easy to get there from central station because it takes only 10 minutes. The houseboat has all the things that you need and is very comfortable. Definitively if I go back to Amsterdam, I will stay there!!!

B027 : recommended | 13 September 2010 Serhan Babaoglu
Why?
1. location: houseboat027 is very close to the city center in a very new and nice/quiet development area.
2. landlord: very nice and calm person. ready to solve problems or give advice.
3. view: beautiful deck overlooking a pretty view.
4. houseboat: large living room with full kitchen (market within walking distance). can have dinner with max 8 people. entertainment : TV, DVD, music + books. very nice & clean wc and separate bathroom. 2 very nice bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds. lots of natural sunlight from windows and skylights, good ventilation and heating. much better than any hotel room or apartment. the water is swaying the boat only gently: even in stormy weather. Bonus: the ground is slightly sloped.
5. unique: when and where else can you live in a re-decorated cargo ship?

Excellent location, just 10 min by bus to the center, bus every 15 min starting 50 m in front of the ship. Nice surroundings, good view over the water and nice terrace. fantastic with kids soccer court just in front of the ship. Friendly cafe 150 m, shopping 500 m. The ship is large, the owner very friendly and helpful. Perfect place for a family that wants to sleep quiet and close the center anyway.

We have just returned from a trip to Amsterdam, The boat is quite far out but the bus service was very frequent, like every 10 mins even on a sunday eve!
we got a taxi back to the boat on an eve as divided by 4 was about the same price.
The boat was BEAUTIFUL!!! we all agreed that we could live there forever as it is so huge and modern.
Thanks to the kind owners who were really friendly and helpful.
Despite the rubbish weather the boat was sturdy and we had a fab time!!!
Defo worth reccomending to anyone

Fantastic! | 25 February 2010 Lauren
We arrived home yesterday after a long weekend in Amsterdam. Houseboat B027 is fantastic. Its really beautiful, and huge! Don, the owner is really friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us staying, we all had plenty of space with the 2 double bedrooms, and all the seating space in the living room was perfect for lounging around! Its really accessible & easy to find. Simply take bus No 42 to the end of the line, get off and look to the right. Buses are very frequent (every 10mins) and allways on time! I would recomend this place 100%, 5 stars from us! x

A Happy Stay | 2 November 2009 Jon & Sally Chaplin
We spent 4 nights in late October on Don Gazelle's houseboat. This was my wife and I in one bedroom and our two teenage grandchildren in the second bedroom. The central heating kept us cosy. The living room is enormous, like a house, with a large TV. The kitchen is well fitted out including an induction hotplate, but there is no freezer. The kids pronounced the whole thing as 'cool' which I understand is an expression of approval. They were particularly amused by the sofa on the cabin roof from which they admired the lights at night. There is an excellent little restaurant across the road. The grocery shop (Albert Hejn) is on the mainland 10 minutes walk away. The 42 bus to Amsterdam Central station takes 11 minutes.

Review of Houseboat | 4 August 2009 John Eden
The boat was very spacious, comfortable (and stable!!), well furnished, clean and provided an ideal base to explore Amsterdam; much more stylish than a hotel room. It was a short bus or tram ride to the centre of Amsterdam. However be warned the free ferry to and from KNSM Island (where the boat is moored) only runs at the weekend, though the bus and tram are both frequent and reliable.
All in all a very enjoyable mid week break.

A pleasant stay + 1 needed improvement | 1 August 2009 Joseph Diaz
Thank you much for the opportunity to stay on this boat. It was spacious and comfortable. Modern day luxuries such as internet and cable existed. The boat was close to the bus stop (#42) into town and the walk was only 20 minutes. It's a nice place if you are looking for a little bit of quiet close to the heart of the city.
In addition, the owners were great. Very welcoming yet stayed out of our way. (I only saw them upon arrival and when i needed them).
I'd recommend this houseboat to my friends.
Thanks again!

great boat!!!! | 15 July 2009 Lana
Me and 5 friends stayed on this boat last weekend, the boat is AWESOME. From previous experiences on boats, I was expecting poor toilet facilities (well, it's a boat!), but this one HAD A JACUZZI and hot water never ran out for 6-7 people!
The boat has a lot of charachter to it, it's like a puzzle - you keep discovering little things and touches in there, and the first impression as you come in - JAW DROPPING, it's brilliant!
We were not meant to listen to loud music after midnnight and generally be loud to respect the peaceful neighborhood, but it was ok, you can still laugh - and what else do you need in Amsterdam!
Don is a great lad, very easy-going kad and to the point.
Overall, excellent boat, fantastic memories and pictures - we recommend it!!!!

Outstanding experience | 7 May 2009 Matthias Ernst
We just spend 5 days in Amsterdam for the Queensday celebrations, which is awsome anyways. But living on the boat made the weekend perfect. The size of the ship exceeded our exspectations by far, also its not a real housbout, but rather a converted cargo ship, where the whole cargo area is turned into a spacious living room with open kitchen. We stayed with 6 people, there is definitely enough space, although two people have to sleep in the living room. The boat is located a bit north of the city, but you have a supermarket around the corner and public transport in walking distance (Tram 10, which goes around the whole city is 3min walk away, bus 42, which goes to the mainstation is 500m away). So no wories, the boat is great, location is good and the owners were throughout friendly.

I must really recommend this boat. Installations are nice, perfect for a couple with 2 sons. also very nice for two couples, anyway we were 5 friends and there has been no problem. Main space (kitchen, dining room and living room) makes you feel in home, the bathroom is quiet nice. Poorest rooms in the boat are bedrooms but I cannot say they were bad. Temperature inside was ok but I guess could be too hot in summer. Transport to the downtown is very fast and easy and there are some interesting restaurants around the boat. Finally, We saw the owner (Don) just at the arrival and he looked like a very kind and calmed guy.

Review of BO27 | 17 July 2008 Larry Cerri email: larryc (at) lciny (dot) com
I appreciate the opportunity to stay in one of your boats...it's a great idea and well executed...Bill could have been more available with information about the area, etc., perhaps a welcome packet that would make it possible for the guests to settle in quickly and not waste time trying to figure where bike rentals and location of grocery stores are, as an example...
I did not meet with the owner until the second day and by that time I had worked out what I needed to, but it took much of my time for the first 24 hours...
Other than these ideas, I loved the boat, l loved the piece and quiet of the location and will be back to visit with you soon...

We had a wonderful time on this beautiful boat. Instructions were clear, there was a lot of communication prior to our trip. One thing we found - if we took one stop BEFORE the end of the 42 bus line, we were actually closer to the boat.

We were really pleased that we booked this houseboat, it was really nicely laid out and had everything we needed, very comfy and spotlessly clean. The hosts, who also live on the boat, made us very welcome when we arrived. It was very quiet, a great place to get away to and the centre was only 10 minutes away by bus, which stopped right outside every ten minutes. And the Italian restaurant was only 30 seconds walk away and was great! Will definitely stay again - thanks!

This boat is amazing....fantastic open plan living room, 2 double bedrooms & shower. Loads of space for 4 people. The location is brilliant, in the east docks, regular bus and tram 10 mins to the centre of amsterdam. Greeat bar nearby, the Kabin and supermarket. It was cold in amsterdam when we visited, about 3 degrees, but the boat was always warm. I would really, really recommend this boat, it made our holiday. Don was great, very welcoming but he left us to our own devices!

Great place to stay outside the city | 5 October 2007 Emily email: em420 (at) hotmail (dot) com
I really enjoyed my stay on the B027 houseboat. It was my first experience on a boat and I was not disappointed. Just as the ad says, it is VERY spacious and indeed I did feel like dancing in the living room!
I only have a few minor things to point out about the accommodations and location. The parking is a bit expensive and very hard to find a free spot. We got a parking ticket our first morning there for 49.10 euros. The ad says 2 television sets, but I only saw one during our week there. The DVD player did not play our DVD's from America - I'm not sure if they were the wrong format or the wrong region, or maybe both. The host had wireless internet, but we were not able to get connected and two of us were IT professionals. No laundry facilities although the ad did not claim there was, I just wanted to point this out. The staircase is narrow and circular so navigating up and down with luggage was a little difficult.
Nice little places to eat nearby and the locals are very friendly, including the very nice hosts.
The view was nice and I felt very safe walking around no matter what time of night. Easy and quick to get to downtown. The furnishings were comfortable which is so important when you are sore and tired from walking around all day. All around the houseboat and location were pretty great and I would definitely stay again if I had the opportunity to.
Oh, and lastly, there are some lights in the kitchen underneath the cabinets that we were never able to figure out how to turn on or off, and we looked all around for a switch. Don't forget to ask about them when you meet the hosts!

Houseboat happiness | 4 October 2007 Dr. Moira Harrison
This was the perfect Amsterdam experience. We loved the boat, it was spotless, comfortable, an oasis of calm in a very busy city. It was incredibly easy to get to Central Station from the boat as the bus literally stops outside. The brasserie opposite the boat also serves lovely food if you don't fancy using the state of the art kitchen. I would definitely do this again. The boat was so spacious and lacked for nothing. Great for families and groups. The only hard part is leaving, we wanted to rush back and probably will!

Houseboat B027 | 19 September 2007 Kate Le Pelley email: worm1984 (at) hotmail (dot) com
This houseboat is awesome, it doesn't even feel like you're on a boat whilst your there. The owners are really nice and the location isn't too far away from all the action, but not so close that you feel like you can't get away from the busy streets. It takes 5 mins on the bus to central station and they run every 10 mins. There's a lovely bar (can't remember the name but has a hinekan sign) the owner / manager was very helpful and full of character. Overall I would definately stay here again, lovely location, people and place. If I had to say there was a downside, the bedroom walls are a bit too thin!!!

Fabulous Houseboat on KNSM Island!! | 31 August 2007 Susan Ober email: sqwalsh (at) optonline (dot) net
We spent 10 days in Amsterdam in August 2007 and one of the greatest experiences was our stay on Don and Edmee's houseboat on KNSM Island. The boat itself is spacious - high ceilings, lots of light, tastefully furnished - 2 bedrooms with very comfortable doublebeds (plus 2 foldaway beds) and very well-equipped kitchen. KNSM Island - part of the Eastern Docklands section - is a very cool neighborhood and with friendly pubs, shops and cafes. It's a very easy busride to Central Station. Some people may feel the location is too out-of-the way but we actually loved the neighborhoody feel and easy access. We would definitely stay there again. We are a family of 5 and our 3 children aged 13, 11 and 4, loved the place as well. Our one regret was the child's boat advertised was out of commission during our stay. Otherwise, it was the perfect experience - highly, highly recommended!

We liked houseboat B027 | 26 August 2007 Matt and Lisa Binns email: mtbinns (at) hotmail (dot) com
We enjoyed our stay on thishouseboat verymuch. It was very comfortable and enough room for the 5 of us. The only suggestions we have is for a toaster to be added to the kitchen and the instruction books for the stove and dishwasher to be available.
Getting from the houseboat to town is very easy on the buses or trams. Everybody speaks some english and there are no problems getting around Amsterdam. When you stay at house boat 027, go to Alex's bar across the road for a beer and dinner. Very nice place.

This was the best accomodation we had the whole time we were in Europe | 3 July 2007 Bob Wood email: sptcbob (at) yahoo (dot) com
We stayed on the houseboat for 4 nights during a 3 week trip to Europe. It was the nicest accomodation we had the whole trip. I have been to Amsterdam 3 times now and from now on I will only stay on the boats. Much bigger than any hotel room I have seen in Europe (even suites). Full kitchen, large eating area. nice big sectional sofa. Our bedrooms were bigger than entire hotel rooms we had in other cities. It was like living in the city, not just staying there.
Highly recommended

AMSTERDAM- END OF MAY 2007 | 5 June 2007 JERROLD AXELSON email: JERNAN1 (at) VERIZON (dot) NET
We stayed on board B027 for five nights during the end of May 2007. At first we were a little disappointed by the location, but after reading about the architecture surrounding our site in the Lonely Planet guide book and spending a day doing the walkabout, we became more appreciative of where we were. Ten minutes by bus from town center, and with several good restaurants within walking distance, we found our location to be a quiet and convenient respit from the hub-bub of town. The boat was great, spacious with good views of the city from the dock and the boat. The owners were helpful and agreeable., couldn't have asked for a better arrangement. we'd do it again.

Norwegian visit to Amsterdam | 4 May 2007 Rogier van Oorschot email: info (at) norway-adventures (dot) com
We had a very nice stay at the houseboat. The quiet surroundings near to the senter was perfert.
The luxrious interior of the boat at the big livingroom was perfect for our group. We slept on to boats and had a cosy place to have breakfast all together.
Thanks

Five Days of Bliss in a Buzzing City | 18 April 2007 Alex Russell email: revolver7775 (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk
Having arrived at Amsterdam Centraal station from Schipol Airport it took us between 5 and 10 minutes to reach the boat by taxi. This may have been more expensive than other methods of transport, but it saved us dragging our heavy bags around looking for the right bus, which incidentally, is the No.42, which you catch right to the end of the line.
The boat itself is an old fishing trawler, and looks very well maintained from the outside. There's even a small garden on the pontoon adjacent to the boat with well kept plants and a swing seat for lounging in the sun. On arrival we were met and warmly welcomed by Don, the owner, a friendly, easy-going gentlman, who showed us around the boat.
Inside the boat looks beautiful:- simply but stylishly decorated and furnished in typical modern dutch fashion, the huge open plan living space, which you encounter on entering, has a relaxed, comfortable, slightly Bohemian feel to it. The kitchen area is modern, well designed and very well equipped. The large dining table stands in the centre of the space, and although the windows on the side are only portholes, the room is well lit form above through the sky-lights, giving it a sense of privacy whilst keeping it light and airy.
The bedrooms are both good sizes - again, well decorated - and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom too is immaculate, with a huge bath tub in the corner.
The boat is about 30 minutes walk from the city centre, so we decided to hire bicycles for 4 of the 5 days we were there, and it proved to be the perfect way to see the city. There is, however, a small shopping precinct, including a supermarket, a few minutes walk away, just across the river. We hired the bikes from a company called Mac Bike who are based at Centraal train station. I highly recommend this to anyone who can ride a bike as it gives you all the freedom of being on foot, but cuts travelling time down dramatically. It's also really good fun!
Enjoy !!!

Very enjoyable stay | 21 February 2007 John Horne email: cchhrriiss99 (at) netscape (dot) net
We only spent 4 days in Amsterdam and did a lot of sight-seeing.
The thought of being able to return back to "our boat" at the end of the day was extremely comforting and we very much relished the thought of it. We appreciated the proximity to the city, yet loved the quiet area and the soothing closeness to the water.
The landlord was very friendly and accommodating without interfering. He gave us great insider information where to do our local shopping.
The financial transactions took place smoothly.
We would gladly book this boat and through this agency again.
Recommendation:
We left some maps and brochures for future visitors.
Park&Ride and guarded parkhouse information is available at the tourist information office. Parking in the street is a bit steep.
Our thanks to the dear landlord for a great stay.
John

Gorgeous. | 29 November 2006 Yvette email: jiggly (at) o2 (dot) ie
Oh god this was the most impressive self catering place ever and the best value for money ever!!! The kitchen is so well equiped, the sitting area comfortable, and the motion of sleeping on the boat was great. Piping hot water from the showerall the time in the more than adequate bathroom. And the tram and bus service is so easy to get to and from the location. A small light at the bottom of the winding staircase for coming in when it was dark was the only thing we wanted for. It can be a bit scary walking down into the darkness late at night!
I would recommed this place to anyone!!

FANTASTIC FUN ON B027 | 13 September 2006 Terry Howard
The four of us went to Amsterdam to see Madonna in concert ay the ArenA, we really thought that the concert would be the highlight of our visit, and it was great. The Houseboat was fantastic so much room for four adults and so comfortable. It was easily accessible by public transport and was ten minutes from Centraal station, the night bus also dropped you close by (maybe 3/4min away). It had all the "mod-cons" you need and sleeping on a boat is heaven, being gently rocked to sleep every night. We had complete privacy, but the owners were only a few metres away and never intrusive. We would highly recommend B027.

Houseboat B027 | 7 September 2006 Claire Deacon email: claire (dot) deacon (at) virgin (dot) net
We had a great stay. Public transport to and from airport to boat was fantastic despite late arrival, accommodation was great and spacious and Don was on call for any queries.
It was great to be able to cycle home to a quieter area of the city at the end of the day/evening, made better by all the local bars, restaurants and interesting shops.
You can swim in the freshwater dock next to the boat which was fantastic as the weather was warm when we were there, no better way to cool off.
Will definitely be visiting again

Review of Houseboat 027 | 8 June 2006 Katrina Kristiansen email: kristian (at) pweh (dot) com
The boat was lovely. Decor first rate! Owners were very nice and accommodating. The location was quite peaceful and safe feeling. Not a lot to do, but easy access to the bus stop, which is located across the street from the boat. For all of the boat's loveliness, there were however a few missing ammenties which one would expect for this price; i.e. paper towels in the kitchen, kleenex in the bath, alarm clock.
Note from the landlord: We don't provide you with tissues or paper towels, because we are afraid for the pumpsystem on board. But we do provide all our guests with linen towels!

boat stay | 9 May 2006 amy french email: frenchtr7 (at) comcast (dot) net
We stayed on boat B027. We thought they were great accomadations, pleasant, quiet and safe neighborhood. There was a great restaurant directly across from the boat that had great food and great prices. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our first visit to Amsterdam. They boat was beautifully decorated with a great dog on board. Boris took good care of us, gave us direction when needed. I would recommend this boat to my friends/.

We've just returned from a great weekend and highly recommend this accommodation. It is quite an impressive boat and the pictures do the property justice. We were a party of six and with the extra roll away beds it was perfectly comfortable so do not be deterred by the fact there are only two bedrooms.........ther e is plenty of room!!It was a comfort to know that the owners were close by and like the other reviews say they were not intrusive at all but made sure we were all doing ok.Will definitely consider returning to this charming boat in the future.

Beautiful boat B027 | 28 February 2006 Cat email: cakeface264 (at) hotmail (dot) com
We had a most fantastic time - the best way to do Amsterdam is to stay on a boat. It all added to our adventure.
It was nice to come back to the boat in such a lovely quiet setting after our days/evenings out.
We'd definitely do it again. 10 out of 10!

Delightful houseboat | 18 January 2006 Jonathan Harr email: jonathan (dot) harr (at) gmail (dot) com
We had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam on this houseboat. The owners were attentive without being intrusive, a very sweet couple who had a big bowl of fruit for our arrival and left us traditional cakes for New Years. The houseboat itself was comfortable, very commodious, nicely decorated, all in all very inviting. It's a little far from central Amsterdam, but the bus and tram run every 15 minutes. And there's a great Italian restuarant 20 steps away, and an absolutely perfect cafe a little further down on the canal. I recommend highly

Review for Houseboat B027 | 4 November 2005 Mrs. L.Singleton email: ray (dot) singleton (at) lineone (dot) net
Exactly as described on website. Immaculate throughout. Very comfortable. Everything we needed had been provided. Landlord friendly & obliging. Bus stop less than 1 minute away - 10 minutes to central station.
Overall - excellent accommodation.
Our only disappointment: the towels were not the quality we would have expected & did not dry sufficiently between uses.

B027 | 28 September 2005 Sara Barker email: sbarker (at) jet2 (dot) com
Hi
We stayed here with some friends the end of September 2005 and found it to be in a great location away from the city centre but only 10 mins from Central with buses that ran every 13 mins. The locals bars were good and welcoming with a take away nearby.
The accommodation was of a great standard and if I was going back to Amsterdam with a couple of friends I would definitley consider statying here again. Two equally sized double bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom with luxury size towels. Large lounge and dinning area with everything you could want from a Ktichen. (take you milk ad tea bags with you.)

Ein schönes Boot in einer tollen Gegend! | 5 August 2005 Gerhard Bonifer-Dörr und Familie email: gebede (at) t-online (dot) de

The boat was realy great. We had a lot of space and it was very sunny. Accomodations are very good but to much light in the rooms on the morning due to the roof windows. The arrival was perefct.
Easy to find and 15mn by bycicle from the center.
The boat can be for 5 or 6 people but their are only two rooms with 1 double bed in each room.
