Es war ein wundervolles Gefühl für vier Tage auf einem Hausboot mitten in Amsterdam auf der Amstel zu wohnen. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und haben die Zeit an Bord sehr genossen. Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise hat alles so toll geklappt, dass wir sehr gerne wieder bei euch buchen. Amsterdam wir kommen wieder!!!

Eine Bitte, entweder sollten Sie aus dem Internet den Föhn, den wir nicht gefunden haben, streichen oder einen neuen Föhn anschaffen!

Wonderfull way to visit Amsterdam. The boat is located in very central canal and it is easy to walk anywhere. It is fully furnished , elegant and confortable for 5 persons.
A little problem is the air: there are many windows that cannot be opened. But weather was cold so it was a little problem.

Schiff war ok, suoer Lage, schade dass man die Fenster in den Schlafzimmern nicht kippen kann. Super alternative zum Hotel. Grüsse aus der Schweiz

We spent four nights on this lovely boat. Although the weather was rainy and even stormy for two days, we enjoyed our visit very much. Me, my wife and our kids (daughter 6 years and son 15 years) had a great opportunity to study Amsterdam and the lovely nearby restaurants and cafes.

The boat was clean, cozy, and there was plenty of room for our family. We recommend!

Hint 1: The closest Italian restaurant (towards Rembrandt Plain) is very good.

Hint 2: Nemo is nothing for a Finnish Family. Go to Heureka instead! It is much better and has a more relaxed atmosphere.

the boat was nice and clean, just as pretty as the pictures show, no bad surprises at all! very well located, central but not too noisey, relaxing atmosphere. not the cheapest, but worth the price. highly recommended!

Nous avons apprécié le house-boat, il est confortable ! Sa situation au centre de la ville est très avantageuse, la proximité des monuments, musées et événements culturels est géniale. Merci aussi pour nous avoir réservé ce temps magnifique, que du soleil pendant 5 jours, c'était mieux que chez nous à Montpellier ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous y retournerons prochainement.

Had a wonderful week on the houseboat! Much more spacious than we expected and very comfortable and well-equipped. Super central location with great views from the deck and felt we were really in the heart of the city whilst still being fairly peaceful. Would highly recommend it to anyone!

My three children (15,14 and 13 years) and I stayed for a few days on the house-boat B039. We enjoyed it very much. The boat is extremely well situated. Everything is very clean, looks really like on the pictures and there is plenty of room. My kids want to return. I guess that's the best proof of the great place we could stay at.

We enjoyed our weekend on House-Boat B039 very much. The location on Amstel river is very central, and the boat is spacious, so perfect for 4 people. Everything was clean and neat, and the heating worked well. What we loved the best: breakfast outside on deck in the morning sun, with all the tourists on boat cruises waiving at us :-) Really a recommendable place to stay!

the houseboat looks like on the pictures, it is clean and beautiful. we had a pleasant stay and totally recomend that boat. It is an unique experience.

I've stayed on Houseboat B039 several times in the past 2 years, and its always been absolutely incredible. The houseboat is nicely equipped and has two nice bedrooms for a maximum of 4 people. You could have someone sleep on the couch, but it really isn't recommended. The location is in my opinion one of the best in Amsterdam - directly on the Amstel! I can't recommend this houseboat enough - you'll love it! The ONLY way to experience Amsterdam!

It was a first time for the 4 of us on a house boat, and we were all very happy indeed with everything about it. I am trying to think of one thing negative but nothing comes to mind. The size of all the rooms was better than average compared to a hotel room it is defo' value for money, you feel more at home. lovely boat, lovely owners, lovely spot. will defo' want to try and stay again.

..boat in need of little TLC, floorboards need screwing down, entrance stairs bending & might break? Few large plants / bushy trees around the outside deck seating area to form a screen / windbreak would be good!!

We had great days in this wonderful boat: 100% clean, everything there what we needed, perfect surrounding. We'll come again - sure!

First time in Amsterdam the house boat was a really special way to experience the city. The location of the boat was perfect-quiet but close to fab clothes shops and restaurants.
The house boat was very comfortable and had every thing that we needed and more.

We were very satisfied on our stay in Amsterdam, and the houseboat was an excellent choice. In a central position with good public transport connections it was very easy to visit the major sights. In the walking distance lots of good restaurants. The houseboat has gool equiptment. 4 persons sleep well in separated sleeping rooms.Bathroom ok Not recommended for handycapped persons for steep stairs.
On heavy rain the roof is not totally water-tight.The plug of the hairdryer does´nt suit in the wall socket

After your houseboat, we went to Pulitzer hotel and now, we are in Bruxelles to continue our holidays during 5 days and we will go to Britany (at Carnac) during 8 days.

I loved the experience! Living in Amsterdam in a Houseboat? It's amazing!
The Houseboat B039 is perfectly located. It is close to everything that matters yet it's location on the canals makes it just a few steps away from the most active areas (so it's very calm at night). It's a little pricey, but having a kitchen and grocery store 5mins away more then make up for it. The boat is clean and more specious that the pictures show.

Initially seeing the information we feared it was all too good to be true. I can now say with experience that it is true!

Das Hausboot war klasse !! Super Lage und die Ausstattung/Einrichtung hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Nie wieder ins Hotel !!!

To stay at the houseboat was so perfect.
Everything was arranged very good, we felt welcome and cosy.

Das Bootsleben hat uns wunderbar gefallen. Wir hatten tolles Wetter und waren - trotz Wind - viel an Deck. Da über Pfingsten halb Amsterdam auf den abenteuerlichsten und lustigsten Booten unterwegs war, gab es viel zu gucken. Das Hausboot ist sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Wir haben überhaupt nichts vermisst. Gleich ums Eck gibts tolle Restaurants (super Thai!) und einen netten kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit den besten Salaten und Quiches! Die zentrale Lage ist einfach sensationell, wie waren nur zu Fuss unterwegs. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern sehr nett und unkompliziert. Wir werden ganz sicher wiederkommen !

Wir, 4 Frauen aus Bonn, hatten eine Menge Spass auf dem gebuchten Hausboot. Es war sehr gross, vor allem das Bad, was wir echt zu schätzen wussten. Geschlafen haben wir ebenfalls wunderbar und ruhig in der hübschen Bettwäsche. Leider waren wir über das Deck etwas enttäuscht, wir hatten einen netten Sitzplatz zum Frühstücken erwartet. Aber da es sowieso kalt war, konnten wir es gut hinnehmen.
Die Ausgangslage vom Liegeplatz ist sensationell, selbst das Tütenschleppen von ausgedehnten Shoppingtouren war gut zu bewältigen. Die Leiter an der Eingangsluke war auch zu meistern, habe sie sogar mit Pumps geschafft!
Das Auto haben wir Sloterdijk im P+R geparkt und sind mit der Metro zur Waterlooplein gefahren, das hat sich als perfekt erwiesen.
Also rundum 4 schöne Tage in Amsterdam!

In Spring 2010 we had a good time in Amsterdam and especially our stay on housboat B039 was great. The location is just perfect, the rooms are much bigger then expected and the owner Judith is very helpful and friendly. We look forward to stay again on housboat B039.

This is the perfect base for explorers of Amsterdam. Located right in the center, quiet pedestrian area and everything in walking distance! The boat is comfortable and offers enough space to spend time onboard just in case it is raining. If you travel with kids - the best thing that can happen to you!

I’ve been in there (it was the same houseboat) about two years before, and I was very grateful for everthing... In the center of the city, good-looking panoromic views, wonderful people...

the houseboat was great; lots of room and good kitchen. my one complaint was the lack of internet which in my view is an absolute must. we did find internet down the street at the recommendation of the owner but the boat should have wireless in the unit.

We stay on Houseboat B039 for 3 days in February, two adults and one child 11 years old.
This boat is an excellent place to stay in center of Amsteram. The equipment is clean, created with good taste and comfortably.
The informations on the website are correct, it was all perfect.
We enjoyed our stay, it was beautifully.

What a nice way to be in Amsterdam. To bad the weather was not always on our side. This houseboat has the best location possible. We walked to go everywhere. I would do it again in summer just to have more time on the deck.

The owners are extremly nice people and gave us all the informations we needed to make this 4 nights stay the most of it.

Just so you know this houseboat can't accomodate handicap people as it is a real one. To go into the boat you go down a latter and not like some others who are like a floating house whit a patio door. This is the real thing and this is why it was so fun.

We had a super time on the house boat. It is in a great location, is spacious, warm and very well equipped. We would recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

You'll find everything you need within walking distance (launderette, supermarket, bars, restaurants etc.) Right vis-à-vis is a café that serves breakfast. We had a fabulous time Highly recomment this boat!

We would fully recommend this boat to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam. Its location is ideal, nothing too rowdy, but just a few moments away from the hub of it all. Perfect location!

The boat is very comfy, with all homely mod cons, very airy feel to it, with light bright furnishings, tasefully done.

The hatch is heavy, and the ladders down into the boat are steep and not secure, so a sturdy pair of pins are needed to ensure no harm is done, but that should go without saying, when staying on a canal boat!

My husband and I absolutely, without a doubt, loved this houseboat! It is not accessible by car in the immediate area, so I would suggest, if you are driving, to park, drop off your stuff and then head off to the P&R (there are many locations). The houseboat is only steps away from the Waterloo metro stop - so it is very easy to get around town from the location.

The rooms were sunny, well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with some consumables and cooking stuff. We didn't require the second bedroom - but there is more than enough room for a family of three to four or two couples.

The owner met us at the houseboat (and she was punctual, unlike other owners I have had experience with!) and was friendly, helpful and perfectly fluent in English.

This was our last stop on a long and eventful journey and was the linchpin in making this trip a truly memorable, relaxing experience! We both highly recommend this one - this houseboat is worth every penny.

we've found a very nice place to stay, a nice town to visit, and meet nice people. The houseboat is in town but in a quiet canal. The washing machine for clothes was broken but the girls on the houseboat close to our boat let us use their washing machine.

We spent fantastic days and nights on this beautiful houseboat B039.
Two bedrooms, big living room, kitchen and bathroom and the most important place - deck with armchairs!!!
Nobody disturbed our rest here and only seagulls and ducks were our friends...
It was like sea trip on our own boat!!! Very comfortable and cosy.
Good restaurant, supermarket and bike renting are close to the boat.
We hope to return to this place next year.

We found our accommodation on houseboat B039 comfortable. very central, owner was very helpful, not having a washing machine and internet was disapointing. But we enjoyed our stay and if we return to Amsterdam we would certainly think about staying on houseboat B039.

Wonderful location and fabulous boat. Judith and Arthur were responsive to a couple of "snagging" issues and fixed them as soon as possible, they made it clear they were on the end of a phone if needed, otherwise they were unobtrusive. Plenty of room to sleep up to six comfortably. I cannot recommed this accommodation highly enough for a truly unusual stay, while offering all mod cons. Enjoy!

We spent four wonderful nights on this houseboat. It is such a cosy place to stay. Surprisingly spacious, hugely atmospheric and very relaxing. It is very central, everywhere is within walking distance. It is equipped with everything anyone could need. It's really well heated (we were there in snowy february) but also has fans for the summer. We can't wait to return to such a great city and will definitely stay again on this houseboat.

This houseboat was amazing, It was a wonderful place to come home to after a long day. The place is very comfortable and cozy and has everything you need. It made our trip very unique and we would not have wanted to do it any other way. I would recommend this houseboat to anyone traveling to amsterdam.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this charming houseboat. There were four of us, a couple and two individuals. We used both bedrooms and the pullout couch and it accommodated us perfectly. The boat is in a great location and was close to everything. We rented bikes while we were there and would highly recommend that to anyone thinking of staying in Amsterdam for an extended period of time (we were there for a week). Between the bikes and the boat, we felt like locals and it was a wonderful way to see the city. I'd highly recommend this boat to anyone. Staying on it was a truly wonderful experience.

The owners were very welcoming and gave us a complete run-down of all the things we would need to know for our stay. The boat was spacious and comfortable, and was amply stocked with everything we needed to make our stay so pleasant. I would highly recommend this houseboat to anyone considering a stay in Amsterdam. We found it far more pleasant than staying in a hotel, as well as more economical since we could cook our own meals. The location is perfect, as well. Close to everything, but in a relatively quiet area. So we had a quick bike ride to anywhere we wanted to go, but could come back to our peaceful boat at the end of the day and not still feel like we were in the midst of a party. The houseboat is perfectly located in the center of Amsterdam near the Rembrandtplein. The boat has everything you need. You can sit on the deck in the sun, the kitchen is well equipped, there's a living room with a table, comfy sofa, tv and stereo. The owners are also very nice. We definitely had a good time!

This houseboat is right in front of Stopera, and all major attractions are 5 minutes walk. There is a lot of space inside, and the view outside is perfect. I would recommend this houseboat to everyone.
We had a great time, is perfect rest in the big and warm livingroom while watching the Amstel River and the snow flakes falling.

We enjoyed the stay in Houseboat B039! Me, my boyfriend and 2 friends stayed for 4 night and we had a wonderful time!

The place was light and the furniture was fresh and comfortably! The boat was also situated in the middle of the canal Amstel, so its was very near everything!

We were in Amsterdam in February ,and believe it or not it was "warm" and nice.
we couldn`t sit in bikinis on the boat deck, but you could sit outside on deck, and look at the great view.

This is something I can recommend.

If there schould be something to "complain" about, was that we had problems with starting the washing machine..? But we managed since we didnt stay for sooo long ! :-)

We already miss the great time and the great city, and hope to be back soon !

We had the best break ever. My daughter wants to leave Ireland and live on the boat. The interior looks quite big on the website pictures, but it's even bigger in real life and is really comfortable. We felt at home straight away, and the slight movement of the boat rocks you gently to sleep at night. The only small downside is that the windows don't open - It would be nice to be able to hear the sounds from the canal. ...It's quite difficult to get down the ladder into the boat, but we noticed it gets
easier if you have a few beers first, which isn't hard with all the cosy pubs and cafes only a few yards from the jetty. ...as Arnie would say...' I'll Be Back!'

We had a great weekend on Houseboat B039. Great location very close to the centre
but far away enough to get some sleep!

We were 4 persons that stayed 4 nights in the boat. It was great to try a real dutch houseboat. The boat is located close to everything. The view from the boat is really nice. Everything worked perfectly. We cannot imagine a better way to stay in Amsterdam.

We had a wonderful 4 nights in the houseboat and really didn't want to leave! Very nice location, close to restaurants, pubs, and markets. Everything is easily within walking distance.

We had an absolute great time and will not stay anywhere else (unless the houseboat is booked!) the next time we come back!

Highly recommend this boat. It is wonderfully situated in central Amsterdam near the Waterlooplein metro stop, conveniently close to Rembrandtplein and Nieuwmarkt and not far at all from the Dam. *Fantastic* views down the Amstel from the deck.

Inside it is spacious: 2 smallish bedrooms with full/matrimonial sized bed each; in the large living room there's a fold out couch as well. The living area is airy and spacious, with lots of light from the ceiling windows. A fully functional kitchen with washing machine, fridge and stove.

Good sized bathroom with shower and bathtub. Plenty of water, and hot. Heating system worked fine (we were there in late September 2007).

The decor inside is clean and functional and attractive. More than enough bedding and blankets. Pots and pans in the kitchen.

The owner of the boat was courteous and very helpful, offering tips on local shopping and eating as well as providing their phone number in the case that we might need something.

This was an extremely pleasant place to stay and I would definitely return again and recommend it to friends.

There is really a lot of positive to say and not much negative. Altough it was really not a problem for me, but it could have been for other persons, there was an ashtray full of old smoked sigaret on the deck of the boat, but maybe this is too insist on the non-smoker aspect inside the boat ? There was as well a strange "smoked" smell inside of the boat. Difficult to say from where this was coming ?

Well we liked the boat it was roomy and very well done.In a very good location and the river action on the weekend was very entertaining. Most every thing was within walking distance.We were ther July 2nd to the 10th and our neighbor Chris was helpfull.I was here in 2005 but not at the boat and hope to come back next year because it was great.

We enjoyed our stay on houseboat B039. The location was great and the accommodations worked okay for the four of us. One bedroom is a nice size, the other one tiny. It was nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy the boats passing-by.
I was disappointed that we did not get to meet the owners, but understood that Judith was otherwise occupied having a baby.

I could live on this boat forever!!! There is nothing like being right on the water and this boat is located perfectly at a water intersection. There is boat traffic all day long and into the evening--it is gorgeous.
The boat is extrememly comfortable and easily accomodated our party of 4 adults. It is clean, well-equipped and spacious. There is a nice restaurant just 10 steps off of the boat and the boat is nicely located near many things to see and do. There is an open market just 1 minute from the boat.
We spent 4 nights on the boat and tried to stay more but it was booked.

It was great to be on this houseboat. We enjoyed our holidays on the boat very much. We'll come back!!

Wir (vier Männer) hatten das Hausboot fünf Tage bzw. vier Nächte.
Die Übergabe erfolgte durchJudith Rispens, welche ich bei Ankunft angerufen habe. Sie war innerhalb weniger Minuten am Boot und erklärte die notwendigen Einzelheiten.
Da mit dem Boot alles in Ordnung war, war dies auch der einzige Kontakt mit den Vermietern.
Man muss zwar über ein anderes Boot gehen um zur Einstiegslucke zu gelangen, dafür hat man aber wiederrum einen gewissen Abstand zu den Fussgängern.
Das Boot war sauber, ist geräumig und nett eingerichtet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind zwar etwas klein, aber dafür entschädigt das große Wohnzimmer mit offerner Küche. Leider hat es oft geregnet, wodurch die Temperaturen gesunken sind und wir gezwungen waren die gut funktionierende Heizung einzuschalten.
Da das Boot an einer sehr ruhigen Fußgängerzone liegt, hört man lediglich den Straßenverkehr von der anderen Seite der Amstel. Von diesem Standort aus kann man bequem die ganze Stadt zu Fuß entdecken.

Da in der Nähe ein Supermarkt ist, ist auch die Selbstversorgung überhaupt kein Problem.

Einzig der Einstieg über eine Leiter könnte mit kleinen Kindern oder für ältere Personen ein wenig mühsam sein.

Wir waren jedenfalls vollkommen zufrieden, und werden bei unseren nächsten Aufenthalt aufgrund der Lage des Bootes, der Ausstattung sowie der netten Vermieter wieder dieses Boot mieten.

It is a very nice place. The boat located within foot walk to main tourists attractions. It's much batter then hotel if you plan to stay for couple days. We've been there in March 07. No claims about cold inside, always hot water in the bath etc. Just one remark to the owner - it would be better to have a lock on the bath door :))) The rest is very good, we can recommend it to everybody who would prefer to hae such kind of lodging.

Thanks to the houseboat B039 we had a wonderful time in Amsterdam this spring.
We where 4 women who had 3 nights in a houseboat we wish could be our own. Inside it´s like a real house, with good beds, room for 6 people.
A beautiful bathroom, citchen with "everything" and a sittingroom with charm.
On the deck you have the sun from morning to sunset.
The only bad thing for us was: too short time.

we had a wonderful experience outside the usual hotel stay. Being on the water with easy access to everyting we needed was great. Sitting on the deck watching the world go by was great too. I've passed this number along to many friends that thought it sounded good too.

Great place to stay as the houseboat is spacious, warm, comfortable and in a marvellous location. The pictures on the website show the converted barge as it really is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Boat B039 looked good on the website - and turned out to be even better than we dared hope for in our long weekend in Amsterdam. Getting there was straightforward via car, though parking alonside the boat is difficult as it's moored in a largely pedestrianised area. That said, if you drive into Waterlooplein underground car park for a couple of hours you'll be less than 50m from the front door. It's a very safe place to leave the car for your whole stay, but very expensive at over 30 Euros per day.

Access to the boat is via the deck of boat B040 , then down quite a steep ladder. Once inside, it's better than any hotel room at a comparable price and so much larger. In essence, it's just as it appears in the photos. Immaculate, airy, clean, warm and spacious, it's a real home from home. The beds are comfortable, there's no sensation of bobbing about on the water and where else can you wave to the tourist boats then feed the moorhens as you sip your morning tea on deck?

Centrally located and within walking distance of virtually all the main sights, the looks of envy from passing tourists said it all. You'd be mad to stay anywhere else...

We stayed in this houseboat from Sep. 14-21 and let me tell you it was FANTASTIC!

The location could not be beat and the views from the deck were spectacular. Every night we enjoyed "cocktail hour" on the deck just watching the many variety of boats pass by. It was truly a relaxing experience -- one we will never forget. Another nice thing about the location was that we were able to lock our rental bikes up on the Waterlooplein railing right near the boat where we could keep an eye on them.

The houseboat itself was quite large and very enjoyable inside with its nice decor and many amenities. The kitchen was well equipped, the bath never ran out of hot water, and there were plenty of towels.

To summarize – We will be coming back to this houseboat next year!

Houseboat 039 is in a great location with wonderful views of the Amstel canal and right outside a pleasant cafe. The boat itself is a wonderfulsurprise inside with beautiful minimal decoratiion and well furnished. Its beautifully comfortable and very romantic. The kitchen is reasonably well equiped and other facilities are excellent. Like everything its not 100% perfect but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, better than any hotel experience! A privilage to be able to stay there.

Thank You Arthur for our stay at your boat! It was perfectly located close to the Rembrandtplein. We also really appreciated your flexibility when we suddenly needed one more bed for a couple of nights. All our recommendations!

4 of us have just stayed at this houseboat, and i just have to say that it was fantastic, sometimes when you book something over the internet the pictures are much better than ewhat you get in real life, however the pictures really do not do this boat justice. it had a lovely area up top where you could have a cup of tea in the morning and watch Amsterdam come to life, the lounge and kitchen area were huge as was the bathroom, and the 2 bedrooms really well furnished. the location itself was also amazing right in the heart of Amsterdam in the Amstel district. i would definetly recommend this amazing place to stay in the future.
