Nous avons passé un excellent séjour sur la péniche ! Elle est très confortable, décorée avec goût, spacieuse, et tout est mis à disposition pour passer un agréable séjour ! De plus le propriétaire est très sympathique et accueillant !
Elle est très bien située, dans un vieux quartier d'Amsterdam, pittoresque et familiale. Le quartier est animé en journée et calme le soir, où on y trouve des petites boutiques sympa et une supérette à 2 min à pied. Le reste de la ville est accessible à pied (15 min de la place Dam, 15 min du marché aux fleurs, 20 min de la gare...)
De la péniche on peut voir passer d'autres péniches ou petits bateaux et les canards, cygnes et oies viendront avec plaisir vous demander un petit morceau de pain !!
Expérience à renouveller sans hésiter !!!

My husband and I stayed here for a week whilst I was attending a conference at the RAI, and it was a really brilliant place to stay. It's infinitely better and far less expensive than some faceless hotel. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating in helping us to plan our stay and in looking after us upon our arrival in Amsterdam. He’s a truly excellent host.
The houseboat is in a fantastic location in one of the most elegant parts of the city. It was just about 15min easy cycle ride to the RAI - perfect. The area was bustling during the day but quiet at night, so you got a good night’s sleep (assisted by the extremely comfortable bed). The views of the canals in the early morning sunlight, before the city had fully woken up, were absolutely beautiful. We loved the feeling of “living” in Amsterdam, albeit only for a short time.
The houseboat is clean, spacious and very well-equipped, with a particularly fantastic shower and a good, fast internet connection. There is a supermarket and gorgeous deli just round the corner, with bread and cheese to die for (can’t remember its name – a few doors along from the supermarket). There are umpteen good cafes and restaurants close by (most notably "Envy", just up the street) - managed to fit in 3 visits in just one week!
I was only sorry I had to be at the conference so much of the time I was there, and couldn't enjoy enough time on the boat. But we will be back...for sure!
