Review, Apartment AS 23 | 11 November 2011 Mary Lynch-Gardner
My husband and I stayed in Apartment AS23 between 15/07/11 and 18/07/11 inclusive, and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is superbly located, alongside Prinzengracht, and beautifully appointed. I only have one caveat - the weather was pretty terrible that weekend, and we got a few soakings; a heated towel rail in the bathroom would have been most welcome. Apart from that, perfection!

We had the pleasure of staying on Boat B026 "The Hendrik". The idea of staying on a boat and the photos on the web-site intrigued us. It definately surpassed our expectations. Beautiful, clean, tranquil, wonderful neighborhood, accesible to everything. What a treat to be able to wake up and have breakfast on the deck before the excitement of the day began. Caroline was a very friendly and accommodating host. We will forever remember our Amsterdam experience and would love to come again.
Thank you,
Tara Rea

Alexanders Apartments | 14 July 2005 victoria jacobs e-mail: plumjacobs (at) hotmail (dot) com
The apartment we stayed in was lovely, very clean and modern and well looked after. It was a bit of a walk to the centre of amsterdam, however, with amsteram being such a beautiful city we really didnt mind and it was easily accessable via trams or taxis. The location is perfect for the Van gogh museum as it is only a 5 minuite wlk away and there is a lovely park nearby to sit in plus many pubs restaurants and clubs including a brilliant funk bar that plays live music everynight, however i forget the name of it now. The only problem we had was with the no smoking policy but if you dont smoke then this isn't a problem, infact it is probably a plus point. Alexander was very friendly and told us everything we needed to make our stay even easier.

Houseboat B033 Stay - July 14-18, 2005 | 7 July 2005 S. Thyagarajan e-mail: thyag (at) energyanswers (dot) com
Dear Ilonk,
My wife, Catherine Lawson, and myself very much enjoyed our stay on this houseboat. The houseboat was well furnished and the greetings on arrival by Carolien was perfect. We were given very good advice on local shops, and cafes and the particulars on use of the accomodations.
The houseboat was comfortable and very attractive. The outdoor bench on the Amstel made us feel at home; watching the varied traffic on this busy and wide river was most enjoyable.
We have a few suggestions to improve the interior:
1. Need more cross ventialtion in the kitchen/dining area as well as the bathroom. When the western sun hits the boat it can get very hot and stuffy. Perhaps some of the windows could be made openable in these areas.
2. Ceiling fans in the sitting area, the bedroom and the kitchen would add immesurably to the comfort of guests.
3. When time and money permits, the outdoor short deck could be expanded to accomodate a small table with benches to seat four people.
4. The entry area where the washer/dryer is located also has no ventilation.
5. Placement of a reading light in the sitting area to read on the sofa would be most helpful. Now, the area is lit by a hanging lamp that is inconvenient for this purpose.
These suggestions are in no way intended to detract from our most pleasant stay. The interior furniture, furnishings and equipment were of high quality and the provisions were most generous.
We would most certainly like to stay at this housebaot again!
You are welcome to make this review available to advise new customers.
Greetings from Albany, particularly to Carolien.
Regards and best wishes
S. Thyagarajan

Note staff,
Thank you very much for your remarks, we certainly take them serious and will see what improvements can be made!

Dear Ilonk,
By now you should have received the note we left at your Haarlem house when we departed 12/5. We enjoyed our stay very much and found the house very comfortable and well-equipped. We appreciated the added amenities - the CD player, TV. washer, dryer, (and use of computer) The location couldn't be better. It was a treat for us to be able to walk to everything!
The house provided a nice homebase for us after traveling about for two weeks. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Linda and Jim Luini
