First off let me say that the boat and location are amazing and well worth it for an amazing say in Amsterdam.
This is the second time I have used this site to book a boat for vacation in Amsterdam.. the first time went flawless.
This time not so much, due to no falt of the houseboat owners , rater with this agency and the way the website functions.
I had orginally inquired for a 3 day rental then switched to a 4 day rental.. well the confirmation came in at the price for a 3 day rental but showed the 4 days.
This was the price I bugeted to pay in cash upon arrival as required.
Now not only did I get one confirmation at this lower price but 2 with 48 hours both stating the 4 days but only quoting the 3 day price... this was an admitted mistake by the agent which I only found out about after I had arrived in Holland the day before I was to go to the boat.
Now I don't know how business is normally conducted in Holland but in my world when you send a confirmation and have a month and a half to find and correct a mistake you made then you don't send an email the NIGHT BEFORE requireing an addtional 225 Euros. and when I suggested we sort things out when I arrived at the boat I was told "there is nothing to sort out , either pay the additional fees or we will refund your deposit" - leaving me stranded without accomidations for 4 days.. I don't think so!!
Going back and forth via email trying to find a way to compromise was unsuccessful so I suggested that the agent , and the owner meet me at the boat and we can sort things out there.
Finally to add insult to injury the reply I got from the agent was that he was unable to meet at the boat and they would pay the addtional fees -something a professional should have done straight away when the mistake was theirs and in the month and a half since my last email confirmation from them they said nothing of the mistake.
But he had to get a dig in stating - that "we are used to the American way of taking advantage of other peoples honest mistakes"
You know what- FUCK YOU! the "American" way is to stand by your business and if you make a mistake then you suffer the loss, not the customer!
How dare you insult me like that, I am a returning customer to a luxury service and just because your website is confusing and YOU by your own admission didn't catch the mistake in a more than reasonable amount of time then thats on you not me.. and your childish need to try and insult me on the way out was more than unnecessary it was foolish as now no matter how much I enjoyed the houseboat I will never use this site again.
THAT IS THE AMERICAN WAY- FUCK ME , NO...FUCK YOU!
This is in no way a reflection on the boat or its owner both were great... but I would recommend they get a better agency to represent their beautiful boat.
Like I said I had one flawless and one not so flawless booking with this agency...so take this all for what you will.

You received the confirmation of your booking for 3 nights, you must have seen the rates for 3 nights on the screen before you confirmed and later by email in the reservation. When you asked for a change, you must have noticed that the dates were changed, but not the amount. You could have warn us such have decent people would have done. You didn't. A day before you arrived the owner of the boat warned us, that the amount was not correct. Because we have so many emails a day to reply we get enough of all your allegations and offer to pay the extra night, 225,- euro from our own pocket. We didn't make a fault, we helped you immediately to change the dates but forgot to update the rates. And now we receive this review instead of a thank you. We gave you a present of 225,- euro from our own pocket and you still find it neccessair to write this offensive text?
