Gelegen mitten im "Jordaan", dem malerischsten Viertel in Amsterdam. In der Umgebung des Bootes sind unzählige kleine Läden, Gebrauchtkleidershops, das Anne Frank Haus sowie Märkte. Von hier aus sind es zu Fuß weniger als 10 Minuten zum Platz „Dam“.

Auf diesem Kahn können Sie ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett mieten. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr kunstsinnig und hat einen wunderbaren Geschmack. Jedes kleine Detail im Zimmer hat Sie selbst entworfen. Den Eingang bildet eine Luke mit einer steilen Treppe. Unten finden Sie ein Schlafzimmer und eine kleine Küche mit einer Mikrowelle, einem Kühlschrank und der Möglichkeit Kaffee und Tee zu kochen. Es gibt auch ein privates Badezimmer mit einer Dusche und einer Toilette. Es ist wirklich sehr schön auf dem Deck zu sitzen. Von dort aus haben Sie einen fantastischen Blick über die Prinsengracht und auf den „Westertoren“. Es wird Ihnen wahrscheinlich das Gefühl geben, dass Sie ein Einheimischer sind, wenn Sie die Touristen sehen, die in Grachtenbooten vorbeifahren. Diese werden neidisch sein, wenn sie sehen, dass Sie auf dem Deck mit einem Glas Wein in der Hand sitzen! Nous venons de passer 3 nuits à bord et ce fut vraiment un plaisir. La location est très propre, bien confortable et bien équipée. La propriétaire est très accueillante et aux petits soins pour ses locataires (encore merci pour les chocolats)
La péniche est située dans un quartier très pittoresque et très vivant. Beaucoup de petits commerces à proximité ce qui est très pratique.
Un séjour plus que réussi! Nous reviendrons.

Genuine Amsterdam experience

Had a great stay here. The owner, Jackie, lives on the boat and she has done so for 25 years now. If you're looking for an interesting, non-mainstream place to stay, then this is it.
The little sitting area on the deck is especially nice in good weather. Be prepared to do some waving to the (other) tourists passing by in canal cruise boats...
The boat is located in Jordaan, which is probably the most picturesque part of Amsterdam with many cafes, restaurants and little shops nearby. We were surprised that the area is really quiet at night. We had no trouble sleeping at all.
It's not a luxury hotel (you probably weren't looking for one anyway), but the boat is very well maintained, cozy and clean - and Jackie will do her utmost to make you feel welcome and at home. It's a unique experience.
We warmly recommend staying here, and would love to stay here again next time we're in Amsterdam. (There will be one - the city is just great...)

The houseboat is extremely comfortable. There is plenty of hot water for showers and the heating kept us warm and cosy.

There is a little kitchenette, with a sliding door to shut it off at night. Everything is very clean, tidy and well thought out.

The shower room is compact and there is a "stained glass" porthole to protect your modesty!
The house boat location is very central and you are in the heart of the most amazing part of Amsterdam, a world heritage centre. With so many interesting shops, galleries, cafes and of course beautiful architecture, you are certainly going to have a wonderful time.
Jackie is a great hostess and she has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. An hour after arriving we were sitting up on deck on the cushions that Jackie had set out for us, watching the tourists sail by on their canal tours taking photos of us as if we were locals!!
The Rijksmuseum opens on Saturday 13th April - we just missed it but you can enjoy it!
