House-Boat B032 ***

This loungeboat  (1903) has 200 square metres/ yards of living comfort! You’ll feel like reborn after a holiday at this wonderful ship like so many other celebrities did while visiting Amsterdam. (the boat once was the home of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for example). From the authentic 18th century "woodharbour" where the boat is moored it is a ten minute walk to the “the Jordaan”, one of the oldest neibourghoods of Amsterdam, where you will find the “Anne Frank huis” and lots of shops and restaurants. At the opposit of the pier you find an old skipper's café/restaurant with good traditional food and drinks. The harbour is not far from Central Station.

The boat has two bedrooms ( a master bedroom and the authentic captain’s hut) both with double bed’s and a walk-in-closet in the master bedroom. In the living kitchen you will find a bar, a diner table, a dish washer and all the other modern luxury you need. The bathroom has a separate shower, toilet and a huge bathtub and in the atmospheric lounge/living room with her modern Italian design interieur, digital home cinema/dvd and cd you can relax after a long day shopping. There is a nice sunny deck with a breath taking view over the "IJ". Reviews.

houseboat b032

Hello,
Good things:The houseboat was beautiful and comfortable, well equipped, quite close to city center, I would recommend it. Owner was helpful and nice.
Things to fix: (Just to help improve quality) There were 2 radiators that didn't work (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom). I want to stress that we are very happy with it all and we would repeat for sure in the same place!

House-Boat B032

We stayed on House-Boat B032 for 4 days in October 2012. This is an amazing accommodation: tons of space, very warm and dry. The kitchen is equipped with everything one might need, big fridge, confortable cooking area. On the boat there is one massive bedroom, and a smallish one, squeezed under the deck. We choose under the deck one to have this immersive boat experience and the whole holiday I felt like I'm a child again :) We have a lot of friends that live in Amsterdam, so they were able to come and visit us with their kids - the kids were incredibly happy and had lots of things to discover. Nice neighbours too - always happy to help if you're stuck. The boat is quite close to the center, perfectly located for nice strolls along the canals. Altogether an amazing experience, highly recommend it if you'd like to have a great Amsterdam adventure.

Amsterdam

Just arrived back in Melbourne last night so thought I would get a quick review down of my stay. Firstly the houseboat was very beautiful, from the outside it didn't look like much but the inside was immaculate and extremely spacious. The location could not have been better and we could easily walk into the city or stay closer in the older part of Amsterdam which in fact we did for much of our stay.
The only thing we could mark down was the shower which had hot water for a minute and then cold water for three. This wasn't a major issue but more of an annoyance.
I would also suggest anyone staying here rent a bike or scooter for ease of getting around the whole of Amsterdam and definitely check out De Worst wine bar, Caramba Mexican restaurant and Cafe Westerdok for its amazing beer selection and great host.
Happy Times all around.
