House-Boat B027 ****

A beautiful authentic coaster, totally restored and redecorated. The apartment built in the boat (130 m2 or 1400 ft2), offers an entrance, a huge living-room, two bedrooms with double beds,  two extra roll-away beds, a separated toilet, a design bathroom with a bathtub for two and a large deck with garden furniture. The landlords live in an other part of the boat, totally seperated, your privacy is guaranteed.

In the living room is a comfortable couch and an open plan kitchen with dish-
washer. There is an easy way in by a gangway, inside is a small staircase. Dvd,
two televisions, radio and cdplayer are at your disposal. 

The boat is moored at the KNSM island, nearly next to Houseboat B020 and has a spectacular view over the water. The island behind Central Station, is small, quiet and safe.  During the day there are a lot of visitors, interested in the exceptional houses and (expensive) apartments. Some of them were built by famous architects. There are a supermarket, restaurants and café's. The distance to the city centre is around 10 minutes by bus or 15 minutes by bike. The boats amazing its in a lovely location and is a short bus journey to town. Its the 6th time ive been dam but the 1st time ive stayed in anything other than a hotel and i recommend highly as long as the smoking ban doesnt come in i will be back to stay on the boat.

This is a great place to stay when in Amsterdam. Not far away from the centre at all and within easy reach to the bus station, a large supermarket and also the tram, it offers a great location however also a good getaway from the centre of the city. The pictures do not lie, it was 6 of us but it felt like it was less. The living room/kitchen area is amazing and a really good place to chill out. The houseboat is kept in an excellent condition with all its equipment. The price is well worth to pay compared to some sneezy hotels/hostels and offers a great atmosphere to underline your stay in Amsterdam.
