House-Boat B069 ****

This boat for 2 - 4 persons is moored on a top location, on the Singelgracht. It's the first and oldest canal in the centre and it is only a 5 minute walk from Central Station. On the Singel you find the flowermarket, the Odeon disco (the famoust in Amsterdam with music for all ages) and multiple large shopping streets crossing the Singel like the Haarlemmerstraat and Leidsestraat.

The boat is totally renovated to a high standard. There is a small deck with a wooden bench and cushions. The interior and furniture are modern and comfortable, the colors are subdued. There is a living room with open plan kitchen, here you find an electric fireplace for the cosiness and a flatscreen television to relax after a day sighseing! There are 2 bedrooms. One has a king sized bed, the other has a bunkbed (2 x 1.20 x 2 mtr.). The bathroom has a whirpool spa with 28 jets and twinkling lights in the dark, and 2 modern sinks. The kitchen has utilities for 4 persons, an oven, fridge and microwave. There is a little safe,  two large plasma televisions (one in the bedroom), dvd and wireless internet connection. Smoking is only allowed outside on the deck. Reviews

House-Boat B069

My family, two adults and two teenagers, had a fantastic time on this houseboat. It was very conveniently located for the Centraal Station, the Anne Frank museum and for quirky shops and restaurants. The accommodation was warm and comfortable and very well equipped. We would certainly recommend it to others. We could reach most of what we wanted to see in Amsterdam on foot and it was also convenient for stops on the Canal Bus tour.

Great Time in beautiful boat
by NigelBath

We stayed here in August 2012 - parents and two seven year olds. The boat is in a great location, close to the station, and easy walking distance to everywhere. On arrival we texted the agents and they arrived within 10 minutes. The bedroom accommodation is comfortable, and definitely cozy with little storage (it did not matter). The ceiling in the main bedroom is low. Wifi was excellent, and the bath/shower also very good. Cooking facilities were fine, and there is a good local shop selling provisions. Also lots of restaurants near by. The evenings were mostly very quiet with little noise. We enjoyed sitting outside the boat in the early evenings, having a drink and watching the world go by. There is something magical about being on the water and Amsterdam is charming for families (it is very easy to avoid the red light district. Would definitely stay again.

The house boat was perfect for me and my two teenage sons. The location was great and the Captain/owner of the boat was very helpful and accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay and it was great to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam rather than a hotel.
