House-Boat B066 **

It's a 10 minute walk from Central Station to this historical cargo ship in the Jordaan area, in the historical heart of the centre of Amsterdam. The boat lies next to Houseboat B038 on our site and both boats are suitable for 2-3 persons. From the deck (deck cushions are available), you have a magnificant view over the canal and old canal houses. In the environment are lots of café's and restaurants, the famous 9 little streets, (antique) markets and the Anna Frankhouse as well. The owners are artists, the boat and furniture are decorated with colorful paintings. 

A staircase leads up to the living room, where you find a large couch made from wood and cushions, wonderful to relax after a day of sightseeing! To ensure a maximum 'lounge' effect, a flatscreen television, dvd and mp3 player are at your disposal. In the kitchen is a micowave and supplies to prepare a meal for 4 persons. In the bathroom is a tub with shower and a washstand. The toilet is separated. There is one bedroom with a queensize bed and a wardrobe and it's possible to sleep with two persons on the couch in the living room as well. On the boat is a fast internet connection free of charge, a hairdryer and a washing machine. Reviews.

Brilliant! B 066

What a beautiful boat!! I have been going to Amsterdam since I was a child. I always stay in old sloten. But renting this and bing in the centre was really worth it. Frouke was always in touch and easy to contact when we were struggling to find it. This cut out any stress. The actual boat was incredible inside, furnished with brightly coloured pieces, creating a warm atmosphere. There was proseco in the fridge along with a pack of beer. The kitchen was equipped so well we cooked every day.
The trip was a surprise for my girlfriend as it was our anniversary, she loved it so much!
I highly recommend this luxurious vessel

Whimsical and Sweet

We stayed for 7 nights on house-boat 66. We arrived early and thought we would sit outside until our 3 pm check in time. Jesse came down the street and immediately let us on the boat which he had been in the process of cleaning from previous guests. He was very accommodating and friendly. I will reiterate what another reviewer said regarding the steps leading down into the boat AND which is clearly stated in every description of every houseboat on this website - the steps into the houseboat should be navigated with care. They are steeper than it looks in the pictures with no handrail. I lost my balance coming down them the moment I stepped onto the boat and fell approximately 3.5 feet. I'm fine but I am quite bruised. My laptop in my bookbag took the worst of it unfortunately. Jesse immediately asked if i was ok and what if anything he could do. Once I caught my breath I had a moment to take in the decor. The boat is so colorful and whimsical in its details. There was fruit in a basket with a package of stoupelwafel which Jesse told me the dutch are obsessed with...and now I know why! Also a bottle of wine, fresh tulips, orange juice & even beer in the fridge! My travel partner mentioned to him that the outside sitting area wasn't quite what we expected from the description and pictures and by that evening when we returned from getting a bite to eat Jesse had placed plush, comfortable and colorful beanbag chairs out on the front of the boat. Frouke came to change the towels and sheets mid week and even replenished some of the snacks. Overall I really enjoyed my time on this boat. My only suggestion might be that they place a step stool in front of the elevated room the toilet is in. It's quite a step up into it. My favorite thing of the entire trip was standing in the window smiling and waving to people in the canal cruise boats as they past.

we spent 4 nights in houseboat B066 an are very satisfied. a nice and clean boat and a very friendly ownerin explained all the important things. to choose a houseboatt was o good idea, we can recommend everybody.
