Boat BS16, Studio **

This large barge is located nearby the "Quartier Latin", or "de Pijp" in Dutch. In this area are a lot of trendy restaurants, café's and shops and it is a busy part of  town. It is a multicultural neighbourhood, close to the city centre and very much in demand by students, merchants and young families. You find here also the Albert Cuypmarket, the longest market in Holland for food and clothes. The boat lies nearby House-Boat B024 (4 persons) and the RAI.

Here we offer a studio with private bathroom and the use of a sundeck outside with table and chairs. It's meant for up to 4 (famillies with children are welcome, the studio is childproof!). The room (55m2) is fully furnished and has a private entrance. It has cable-television and radio and there is a microwave/oven combination, refrigerator, coffeemachine and toaster at your disposal. For use of internet or look into your web-mail there is a computer available, there is a fast wireless and cable internet-connection. The studio has a professional climate control (cooling, heating and air purification-management), but there is also a woodstove for a cosy atmosphere in wintertime!  You have a nice view from the deck over the Amstel River. By bike or public transport it takes 10 minutes to the middle of the centre. Reviews.

Excellent houseboat!

We much appreciated our stay at Martin ´s place during 3 days. The studio in the boat is extremely nice, clean, And equipments are ok to accommodate a breakfast for instance (no cooking facilities but a microwave, fridge, coffee machine...). The area is ok And quiet except the road close by, but very convenient to easily reach the city center with tram 4 (10-15mn) which is at 5mn walk.
Nice small terrasse on the deck as well.
Martin was Very kind And welcoming!
We definitely recommend his place!

House boar BS16
by Ian Dust

The boat itself is very spacious and comfortable. The owner, Martin met us on our arrival at the agreed time - he had given us a mobile to ring, and he welcomed us on board. There is not a lot of natural ventilation, the only outward opening windows are portholes but there is air conditioning if required. The facilities are modern, but the cooking facilities are limited. The location is not central and it takes about 25 minutes to walk into the heart of Amsterdam, probably a bit less to walk to the Anne Frank Haus or the Rijksmuseum, but the trams are very frequent, the nearest stop is a five minute walk and take little over 10 minutes to the centre - you can pay on board if you don't buy an advance ticket. Near the boat are shops, cafes and ATMs and there is a very nice Turkish restaurant a few minutes walk from the boat. Martin is very helpful and will give you plenty of help and advice on how to make the best of your stay - you will have a great time and will not be disappointed if you book this boat.
I recommend this thoroughly

Sonniger Hausbootaufenthalt
by 4 Freundinnen aus München
