Boat BK18, Guestroom ***

Moored in the middle of the "Jordaan", the most pitoresque neighbourhood in Amsterdam. In the surroundings of the boat are numerous little shops, secondhand clothesshops, the Anna Frank House and markets. From here it's less then a 10 minute walk to the Damsquare.

On this barge you can rent one room with a double bed. The landlady is very artistique with a wonderful taste. All small details in the room were made by herself.  The entrance is a hatch with steep stair. Down stairs you find a bedroom and a kitchennette with microwave, fridge and coffee- and tea making facilities. There is also a private bathroom with shower and toilet. It's really nice to sit on the deck, you have a great view over the Prinsengracht and the Westertoren. It will give you proberly the feeling if you are a local when you see all the tourists passing by in canalboats. They will be jalous when they see you sitting on a cosy couch with a glass of wine in your hand! The landlady is well known in the theatre world, decorated a large number of musical, films etc. Click here for reviews and  Jackie in the New York Times.

Excellent location very central (love it! Very convenient, reach most places by leg!), room condition is okay, can be better, is okay for me and my wife, they have everything is the kitchen if you like to cook yourself...
Jacky, the owner is very friendly and helpful.
7.5/10 for me.

We've had the great staying on Jackie's boat in Amsterdam in period from 23.07 to 27.07.2011. Almost everyday was raining, but it couldn't make us unhappy and change our great impression of the city and accommodation :) Every evening we hurried to come back to our lovely boat. We suppose it because of atmosphere which has made by Jackie. We never thought that sitting on the deck and watching walking people, waving boats, hungry ducks and swans can be so attractive, so harmonical and so relaxible! We dream about that day when we come back! THANK YOU SO MUCH, JACKIE!!!
