Boat BK09, Guestroom **

The owner of this boat showed a lot of creativeness by making a washstand from a copper boiler, a shower ánd a private toilet in this small, but romantic bedroom with a cove. Really amazing! You will also have the cabin of the boat for yourself with a cosy nook and there is a nice terrace. The bedroom and cabin are separated from the rest of the boat which guarantee your privacy and you have your own entrance.

From the cabin you have a wonderful view over the Amstel River. The whole atmosphere is pretty luxurious, the materials are beautiful: glossy wood, marble and copper. There are facilities to make coffee and tea. At the opposite of the boat is "de IJsbreker", a very popular restaurant/ theatre and café combination where they serve breakfast from 9 a.m..There is a wifi internet connection free of charge. Click here for reviews.

Excellent accomodation on beautiul boat

We found the boat superb! Although many reviews comment on its small compactness, we found the cabin plenty roomy enough (although we are both under 5'4"). The bed was very comfortable and quite large! The shower lovely, with lots of hot water (& towels included!) and the wheel house ideal for drinking a glass of wine watching the world go by. Peter has refurbished the cabin in a traditional way with beautiul wood.
The Amsterdam transport system is so efficient and cheap (20 euros for 4 days limiltless travel), that you are only a few minutes (3 metro stops) away from centre of the city.
We can not recommend Peter's boat highly enough.

Mon époux et moi-même avons été enchantés du séjour que nous avons passé à Amsterdam, et dormir sur la péniche de Peter fut une expérience fort agréable.
Peter nous a accueilli très chaleureusement et nous avait laissé sur la table dans la cabine quelques oeufs en chocolat et une bouteille de merlot (attention délicate).
Notre hébergement était très cosy, propre et bien chauffé (heureusement, car la température extérieure était de 6° au mieux 10°). La péniche est également bien située et en 15mn à pied nous étions au coeur d'Amsterdam. Rapport qualité/prix très satisfaisant.
Par contre, côté stationnement, il ne faut pas hésiter à se garer dans un P+R à proximité de la ville (8€/jour pour 4 jours et tickets aller-retour offert pour se rendre en transport en commun dans Amsterdam).

péniche rustique mais qui ne manque ni de confort ni de chaleur. vue agréable sur le canal. propriétaire sympathique. bon rapport qualité/prix dans l'ensemble.
